I'm alive! And so is Trials of the Master!
Just a quick video update for all of you, and the next video will hopefully tell you all you wanted to know.

Sir, I know you don't like qui gon guiding obi wan during the final duel but won't it be cool if in the pit when obi wan is hearing all those negative things said by Vader he hears a faint "obi wan" from qui and then that voice grows powerful and overshadows all other negative voices and motivates obi wan to fight...that also makes sense storywise cuz it was strongly established that obi wan was trying to reach qui gon for guidance, in the series qui gon cameo feels pretty useless(yes it shows Kenobi's ability is grown and he has opened himself to cosmic force but on part of qui gon it doesn't do much)..and accordingly to MSW they originally filmed it that way..If you look carefully during the Leia and luke vision he was mouthing "qui gon!". Sorry for the long read and my bad English(working on it )... great work ❤❤ can't wait to watch it and lots of love and greetings to You and your family 🙏

Here are my questions for the Q/A : - Have you read comics and books/ played video games (Jedi Fallen Order or Battlefront) to bring accurate references ? - Have you ever heard if Lucas, Filloni, or any SW cast members, or people at Disney are aware of your project ? - Since you’ll make zero profit out of this amazing project, does Disney can stop it or take it down? And last question : George Lucas biggest quality was his vision and paternity of the SW universe which I know as a fan you understand and respect and try to honor with your work. But his « weakness » (imo) was dialogues, and considering all the big rework on Reva and Leia, did you need to work with someone to make the dialogues sound better for a +2h Movie Format ?? Thank you for your work and passion. We finally gonna see what we expected when they announced Ewan McGregors come back

@@PixelJoker95 I don't expect Disney to be "reasonable", but would it be possible to put your transformative project on Disney+? That way fans can access it in high quality without it being immediately taken offline. I hope they would consider it. You're not just a fan, but a professional. Just my thoughts!

@@PixelJoker95 I recently learned about your project and I think it's incredible. The Obi-Wan series disappointed me greatly, even more than the sequels, they could have made a masterpiece on all fronts and they made a mess. What destroyed me the most was the ending, the clash between Vader and Obi-Wan and above all the outcome. Letting Obi-Wan win at that point is completely pointless. Make Vader lose again? but wasn't it supposed to be the ''rematch of the century''? It destroys Vader's aura of menace and the whole sense of the original trilogy where Luke was the last hope to defeat his father. Furthermore, in the Disney series Obi-Wan leaves him there with that generic ''goodbye Darth'' repeating again the same mistake of letting him live even after having had confirmation that his friend is no longer there, while then in the original trilogy Obi -Wan clearly wants Vader dead. The most sensible thing was to let Vader win (even after showing the emotional broken helmet scene) and make Vader believe that Obi-Wan was dead, in fact in episode 4 Vader is surprised to feel Obi-Wan's presence again . In their original draft they had in fact planned to have Vader win as they said in an interview, with Obi-Wan falling into the void from a height, it would have been perfect. So I hope that in your project you will also change the outcome of the battle to make it more sensible with the levels of the characters and the sense of the plot in general. May I know if you somehow read this message? I really care a lot about this thing. Thank you so much for this!

No worries man, this is a gift to the community, no one should hassle you about a gift. Questions: Do you still intend to de-age Qui-Gon? (I think you should, just darken the hair, give him some eyebrows, nothing major, just please make it non-distracting. Now, this late in the process, you can watch other fanedits without it messing with your vision, do you intend on doing so, to garner new perspective before completing the edit?

Wow all that extra stuff in the background of the fight looks seriously cool. I know we are all in this for the edit mostly, but the extra VFX is gonna be really cool to see. The volume sets were really limiting in Obi-wan. Can't wait... But I will :D

Appreciate the life update and your openness to do a Q&A on the project! My question is: What's your biggest challenge in this overall project? I hope you can find the time to do a "director commentary" version and just lay out your reasons behind your decisions (artist, plot/pacing, etc.). Its amazing. I am so glad there are people out there like you who CARE about Star Wars! Compared to the drek Disney serves up and the insults they throw at fans like us and you, because we dont like their rubbish. And here you are, a normal fellow working for a living on your own and pound to a peanut you will turn out a decent Kenobi film from the ruins Disney created. Because you CARE and they do not! It will show in the finished product and its such a shame that you have to work so hard to create something right, when Disney should have got it correct in the first place. They are a multi billion company and yet you will produce better work than they do. Good luck to you and keep it up.

No question here more just an appreciation of what you’re doing, us fans have been completely devastated with what Disney is doing with Star Wars the obi wan show being one of the biggest things they’ve messed up so just wanted to come here and say thank you for fixing a billion dollar company’s mistake and to add to that they don’t put the crap they’re making for free we gotta pay for that I’d be glad and more than happy if this is something we gotta pay to see I think you deserve it and real fans know it’ll be worth it so just a thought I think you should make this be something we pay for because you’re doing something that the fans really appreciate

Take your time, dude!! Quality is greater than quantity. My take is like my thought on video games: I'd rather they be delayed to get the work done without people crunching, and the product being quality and made with love. This is something rampant in the video game industry. You're doing this on your OWN FREE TIME. I don't care if it's delayed 5 min, 5 months, or 5 years. No decent fan would want you to rush, crunch, and worse lose passion for something because people are pressuring you. Take your time, take care of yourself, and release when YOU want to and when YOU feel it's ready. Thank you for the Q & A, for the work you are doing FOR FREE, and bless you, sir! This is by far my most anticipated Star Wars content, even more so than Ahsoka. Do whatever you need to over however long a period of time to make it happen, we support you and are so happy to hear that you still intend to finish! Question: How are you able to get facial morphs like the Grand Inquisitor to look so good? Did you use any 3D models to achieve the final effect or is it strictly a manipulation of the existing footage? Would love a brief description of your process.

I never realized just how important editing was to a show or movie before kenobi and watching these fan edits thank you for making me appreciate it i think bad editing was the main reason kenobi sucked i didn't like the fight at the end before but fan edits of it are much better

Well, there's no question that everyone is curious, especially me about when it will be released, but we certainly understand you have a life and you have other priorities. My basic question is WHEN it's available, can one purchase it? I WANT a copy because from what I've seen it's excellent and I'll watch it a million times. So if there's a cost involved, let me know.
