I've been on this boat over 20 times & yes occasionally there is one jerk. Overall a good, friendly crowd. The mates are the best in the business!

Oh yea. I’m already scheduled to go next year and bringing an extra buddy. Had a blast on this one. That one jerk can definitely ruin a part of the trip though. He’s in a number of videos and pictures, so I think he picks and chooses his battles. Maybe I seemed like a pushover to give up the bunk and rail spot I reserved, but definitely not backing down next time! Even better, I hope he’s not on my next trip. Lol Alana told me he got into trouble with a couple other groups as well on this trip. Tight lines!

Sooooo many fish dude, unbelievable
@theanglercrew70592 жыл бұрын
Hahah and guess what? The captain said it was slow. They came back early a couple of trips before this one because fish boxes were full both front and back. They couldn’t take any more fish home and returned early lol.

@@theanglercrew7059 I did the math… each of your fish is about $44. Well worth it
@theanglercrew70592 жыл бұрын
@@skunkyaawax4546 I would have been happy with fewer fish. I went in thinking that it’ll be once in a lifetime opportunity for me, considering how expensive it is… I went for the experience with zero expectations (As you know), LOL. I have to be smart about saving money for annual 3-4 day trips.

Well that was a good catch amberjack are good on the grill and that problem in the beginning with the bunk and the rail these boats have the regulars that fish for free that probably was the case or he didn't have reservations made and they throw him in on the trip and just doubled the spot but that's party boat fishing for you

Hey man, love your videos. Have you thought about going on the Hubbard's long range trips?
@theanglercrew70592 жыл бұрын
That boat wasn’t even on my radar. Have you gone on Hubbards and do you recommend? I’m always up for getting on different party boats!
@minchun85942 жыл бұрын
Weird... my previous comment disappeared. I haven't gone on Hubbard's yet, but I've only heard good things. I've been wanting to go. If you plan to go let me know! I'd love to join ya.

Wow great catch! Btw Whats a good conventional set up for 60 to 100ft water? 500 and 1k usd price range. Thanks!
@theanglercrew70592 жыл бұрын
Hahah, you saw what happened with the reel I chose (Accurate Tern 2 400x). I don’t think I’m qualified to answer that question, but when I look around the boat, I see a lot of Shimano Ocea Jiggers and Daiwa Saltigas. Don’t think you can wrong with tried and true reels. Tight lines!
@ShinkiZer02 жыл бұрын
@@theanglercrew7059 ya that sux for a new reel. What size ocea jigger and i taught its a spj reel, can you use it to bottom fish?
@theanglercrew70592 жыл бұрын
@@ShinkiZer0 Most definitely! I have a SPJ reel (Saltiga 35n) that I use on both SPJ rods and bottom rods. For 60-100 ft, you don’t need a ton of line for most species. Caught my first two blackfin tunas on it!
@ShinkiZer02 жыл бұрын
@@theanglercrew7059 thanks thats good to know! Yea saltigas are very nice i get compliments on my 40ld2 all the time. I might do that as well then if i ever dive into SPJ i already have the reel. Keep the vids coming!

How is that water so calm?? That’s crazy
@theanglercrew70592 жыл бұрын
The captain said we got lucky. It’s usually calmer starting in June throughout summer.
