Dang, I thought this story was going to be about Shane’s mom and how she killed her stepdad. But this story did a 180 when it just focused on Shane and not the mom. Didn’t expect that.

My brother is EXACTLY like Shane. He is a textbook malignant narcissist who I have had to completely cut off from my life. My mom is almost worst than him(in a different way)& unfortunately, that's my only family (don't know my dad, isolated from the rest of my mom's side). I've considered reaching out to her brother(my uncle)bc he has seen glimpses so surely he would believe me. Everything my brother does is motivated by money. My mom is the same but she tries to keep that fact somewhat hidden, whereas my brother: he behaves publicly like Shane in this video. He brags to everyone about money that isn't his.. back when my mom was married to someone with money, that was his thing. He makes fun of ppl that"drive shitty cars or don't wear designer clothes". He's been punched in the face as an adult a few times bc of this. He abuses and controls the ppl he's with. The only long term relationship he had was with someone who had family money. He now has inherited money from his dad(someone my mom was married to when she adopted him, before I was born)& even tho his dad died by suicide shotgun, he still would brag about new belts/bags he's buy, cars he was buying and picked out his new house within a month of the tragedy. He couldn't even squeeze out a single tear for what happened, in fact he was laughing with joy each time I spoke to him. I'd created a friendship with his dad right before he took his life.. so seeing someone so disrespected made me sick. That's what led to me cutting him off, finally. I still speak to my mom even though she is evil as well and they work together as a unit to sch me and get $$$$$$$(he bought her a new house and car as well after all of this). I don't know why I'm publicly commenting this, other to say- I TRULY don't believe that my brother will make it through his life without doing serious damage to another, either via drunk driving or potentially murder. Weirdly hearing that Shane was arrested, made me feel better.. bc I feel like ppl like that are NEVER brought to justice.. they just lie/cheat/scheme their way out of any repercussions and it makes me sad for the rest of us who have beating hearts. I do wish that she was still incarcerated bc she deserves life. 💙Thx for the great content as usual 💙

So crazy to hear this story told! I’ve lived in sevierville my whole life. Before I was born my parents lived in Frog Alley too 😬 It seems like I knew about this case growing up my whole life! Living in this area now is so hard. Too many people moving here and no housing. Locals are living in hotels 😢 It’s definitely more of a tourist attraction town now between Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge-Sevierville.

This is kinda like my parents except my mom was born rich then lost her wealth forcing my dad to work more and more to get more money for her. She would never do anything she just wanted to be spoiled she was so obsessed with money she also physically hurt my dad and his girlfriend I was scared she was going to kill them. Right now he has a restraining order on her and I’m with my dad away from her but I’m still scared she might come back

Imagine getting the minimum of 25 years after being found guilty for 1st degree MURDER, oh what privilege can do. I can’t imagine how Kelly’s family feels, if my family member was murdered in cold blood and their killer got the minimum sentence simply because of status I can’t say what I’d do for legal reasons.

It’s pronounced “severe-ville”… it’s where I have lived since the early 2000’s. It’s crazy to see how it was a small town in the 70’s. It’s built up now as a tourist destination.

Kelly lavera was my math teacher at Pellissippi State in Maryville Tennessee. I remember coming to class one day and he wasn't there and one of the other teachers came in crying and said that he had died the night before. He was a pretty good teacher. He scolded us on occasion for not being great students but then again we were in a community college taking remedial math.
