I bought this as my first printer and I have to say for the price I am quite happy. I am going through all the usual mistakes as a newbie. I disassembled the hot end and reassembled it back to front so the fan cowl was too close and melted. I've reprinted it not a big chore. I snapped an all metal heat break because I tightened it too much. So in the end I am happy that I bough a cheap one where the spares comes in the same price range. Other than that I am not an expert but as stock print in a decent fashion

Love my KP3S. Same printed base, and top spool holder, with relocated screen. Botbit BMG and a Red Lizard K3 hot end with .4 Nozzle X. 5015 PC fan with a dual side ducts. Swapped out the bed springs for Prusa steel bed spacers and Fysetc PEI steel plate. Absolute workhorse, prints anything!!

I just picked up a used one and I’m really excited. Hopefully its all here aside from the orange thing on top you yours. This is my first printer and I’m excited to see what😮 comes of it.

You can put Klipper on the GD chip! There's a specific config you have to do. I have the KP3S Pro and the mainboard in that has a GD chip. Been running Klipper on it since I got it with no issues.

Hi Sam I have just bought the kp3 S as my first printer I know nothing about 3d printers only what I have read in the instructions I am having trouble with the prints not sticking to the bed have tried the temp at 70 degrees but still no joy, Please can you help me. Thanks. Bill

70 on the bed ? Usually it’ll be down to the distance between your nozzle and the bed, so make sure it’s close enough

I think the spoolholder is meant to be put ob top of an enclosure for the Printer, 👍

I already searched for a solution and didn't find anything about it. you are my last option. I'm trying to make a print that in total will take 21 hours. The problem is that halfway through printing between 50% and 70% the nozzle stops heating and the filament stops coming out. The printer continues to move. Does anyone know how to solve it?

Is it always in the same place? could be a loose connection that seems most likely

@@TheRealSamPrentice I haven't checked this, but the printer is new. I've had her for less than a month. However, as I recently changed the nozzle, I'll check. Could the problem be the filament?

@luciosacramento doesn’t matter if it’s new, if the cable comes loose or gets pinched at height that will be that

External PSUs are strictly speaking better in every way. If you ewant an enclosure which, anyone serious does. Its a no brainer that external means your silicon doesn't get fried at constant temps above what its rated at.

Kind of silly to be reviewing their old model. The Kp3s has been around for some time now, the Kp3s Pro is the latest model that is worth a review. But their new Kp5l is junk so don't bother, good parts, poor design and the firmware is a joke.

Hi TE, I'm sent products old and new, as you can see i this video it wouldn't work for me in the unboxed form. There might be people still considering this product. After all Creality still sell Ender 3's and that came out in 2018.

@@TheRealSamPrentice That is true, some may be considering older models. But what I meant to say is that it is silly of Kingroon to be sending out old models for reviews instead of pushing their latest products. Far as the Kp3s, I have four of them and they work great for their size. Biggest con like you mentioned is their cheap fans. The external power supply does have pros and cons, if you encase the machine then you can keep the power supply out of the heated chamber. But that is about it.

I love my kp3s, and have waited a lot longer than anticipated to review the KP5L because of how many issues it has.
