I dig your style. It comes across as genuinely friendly. Like a bro you would get together with, and discuss music from all across the timeline. I haven't subscribed to shit before, but this channel I just did. Love the Slipknot video too. This is one of my favorite Kiss vids. One of my best friends growing up at this time was a Kiss fanatic, so he made me listen to this album a lot. R.I.P. Mark St John and Eric Carr.

Mark St. John played on the Animalize album, but played very few, if any, live shows on the tour because of his condition. If you remember the Animalize Live concert that came out Bruce Kulick was the guitarist. I'm not certain that Mark St. John played any live shows with Kiss.

I believe Gene is wearing a wig at this time due to the filming of the movie Runaway where he had to cut his hair for the role.

I don't know if Gene needed a hotcomb as much as he needed a good wig maker. Because he was filming Runaway while this album was being made, he cut his hair short thus forcing him to wear a wig for the Animalize videos, photo sessions and tour.

Just found this...and OH that was different after not having seen this video for quite a while! Still the best and fave part for me was when my beloved Eric popped up behind Paul! So damn cute. I believe the chick with him underneath the coffee table was his real-life girlfriend at the time but I may not be remembering that right...it wouldn't matter anyway because I still wish it had been ME! Animalize was not my fave album from this era (post-Eric's death/pre-reunion...I have NEVER listened to Revenge and who knows if I ever will)...it was too paint-by-numbers for me...I also was not keen on this particular look. I remember seeing the publicity shots for the album before it came out and thinking, "Who are they, an overdressed Man-O-War now???" And just when I had finally accepted Vinnie, HE GOES, then there was Mark....AND Bruce. I happened to be at one of the very few shows Mark played, at the Baltimore Arena in November 1984 (Queensryche opened)...he only came out for 1 or 2 songs but the whole place went apeshit!

It was very unfortunate that Mark St. John's tenure in KISS was so short-lived. I liked him better than Bruce kulick.

He was kinda half-assing his contributions to the band... Paul was left holding shit together, trying to steer the KISS thru the mid 80's... This video cracks me up... I was really trying to like *Kiss* in 1984, so I pretended to like it, and hoped to God the tour would be better than the *Lick it Up* tour I had seen earlier in the year. The one thing I really remember, was they used their 🔥 pyro once, and that was during *Heavens on Fire.*

Vinnie Vincent actually ran off with the Lord Humongous' gang in the post nuke world! Plus, if I had to pick a favorite Gene Simmons no makeup look, it's gotta be Revenge era. A goatee and beard kind of suit him! And who'd win in a hammy expression contest: Paul, or our favorite Sexy Shane?!?

Weird to think that two of those guys are no longer with us. My fave non-make up album is Lick It Up, Asylum being a decent second. Animalize does have some cool songs, especially "I've Had Enough (Into The Fire)".

Hey man....its great remembering the good old days...All I can do is speak for myself.... when I referred the Kiss "Shook Me All Night Long "video to you,I thought that was the topics of the show (band fails/drunk musicians etc..You seemed to get a lot of feedback from that one......It's also good to hear or see something that you may have not have heard yet(like you metal and playing music was my life)and will always be....but,seeing the MTV rotation isn't getting you noticed....think outside the box,Keep people wanting to view your stuff...You've got a good shtick,just keep it interesting....All meant to be helpful...and yes,Mama boys/or crossroads guitar dual(Vai)....

Not so fun fact, 50% of the band in this video have passed away.

animalize was a great album a shame mark st john couldnt stay with them.my favorite album of theirs without make up was a tie between hot in the shade and crazy nights

I like 'Thrills In the Night' better. Also,Mark St.John is no longer breathing air. He has passed away like 10 or so years ago. Like alot of other rockers,Mark struggled with addiction

Animalize was okay, Lick It Up was better but the best album without the make up, I would say it was Revenge.
