Welcome to Kitty String, dude! The Fat Kitty is by far my favorite (I prefer the neon yellow, with the hot pink a close second), but the XL is really awesome, too....I didn't like it much at first, but as I used it, it grew on me. I got to like it a lot more the more I used it.

I love kitty 1.5! It's a nylon poly mix and is more course similar to blueprint. EDIT: The one with the IR pad sticker was 1.5, it's actually a collaboration between kitty and IR.

Pro Dude they feel premium but I don't recommend it over fat ones because they are more durable.

j88800 1.5 is more durable due to it being a nylon poly mix, fat is all poly.

I got Tall Hot Pink a while back, and it's pretty long. I'm like 5'1" so it's a bit hard to just throw it and hold it up, but the extra length really helps with really techy stuff and tricks stuff multiple slacks. And in my experience with it, colour wise, it's not the best for recording or performances, green, orange, and other fluorescents are best. A big problem for me however is sometimes my yo-yo won't be spinning fast enough after my trick so it won't be able to fully make it back. The tension retention is pretty good although strings wear out super quickly. I'm personally gonna go yellow fat or regular in the future.

Yellow Fat is my personal favorite, with XL a short distance behind that. I didn't really care for XL too much right at first, but it really grew on me the more I used it, for whatever reason.

They all work, but Green, Orange, Baby Pink and Yellow are the brightest and easiest to see. White is pretty visible too.

Hey Brandon, I am new to yo-yoing so I don't really know where to tie the string on my finger what I mean is I tie the string at the back of my middle finger I always see people tie the string at the tip of their finger though, so my question is what should I do?

Most people (and I would say Brandon probably does too) will tell you to (after you make your slipknot) put it on your middle finger between the first and second knuckles, but maybe a little closer to the knuckle towards your fingertip. In other words, about halfway down your middle finger, or even as much as one third of the way from your fingertip. That tends to give you the best control. Yoyotricks.com has a good video showing what they think is best way to put the yoyo on your finger.

Kitty String is a little more expensive than say, Yoyofactory, Yotricks, or Yoyoexpert regular string. But it's so worth it. If you're used to like Yoyofactory string, the first time you use Fat Kitty String, you will be blown away by how much better it is in just about every way. At least, I was. Most of the pros these days are using Fat Kitty as well. Gentry, Evan, Zach and so on can't all be wrong, can they? XD

Jonathan Chen what tricks can you do?Also in my opinion I think you should get budget metal yoyo like the horizon,cannon,shutter,vanguard aviator and others because it's a step up and it allows you to learn almost all the 1a tricks.

Jonathan Chen Then I will recommend you getting a budget metal yoyo or even a high end.In my opinion,the best budgets are the shutter,horizon,cannon(I have one it's awesome)gauntlet and many others.If you want a high end yoyo I will recommend the jackknife(my currently favorite yoyo)the atlas,gradient,forge,expedition and many others.It really depends on what you're looking.For example,for finger spins,the horizon atlas and jackknife are the best.It really depends on which form of the yoyo you like and many other details.

Yonexus makes sure your hands aren't sweaty. If the string has a lot of friction with your fingers usually either your string is... meh, or your hands are too sweaty.

Sulivan Mcgee there's many variations of kitty string, i love normal, but if you feel that is a little unresponsive you can use fat string

Hi! I’m a musician here in the Philippines but when I started drumming when I was young, that was the same time I was learning my yoyo. They bout compliment each other as I learn them both. I’m drumming for 20 years now. I love yoyo and drums. Is there anyone out there having my same experience?
