This is true, but the burst movement speed afterwards let's you create some serious distance in a short period of time so I think it's well worth it

@@KristoferESO Never tried the trap perk on the weapon before, so it’s probably a more practical speed buff. I know that the armor perk loses you distance if you just place the trap just for the speed rather than just running straight dodging. But I’d be curious if you could outrun someone just with the placing of the trap for the 32% buff

I have tested this and yes you do move faster than someone who is just running! In pvp games like this I think 10% movement speed goes a really long way

Hatchet would work well here too I think, or even GS for the aoe and utility

Big time agree, super interesting weapon but right now the skill tree is lacking compared to bow. Hopefully AGS gets it right next time!

This is the issue. At high level it doesn't compete close up. You can Iframe the sticky bomb and trap, and traps can be destroyed by AoE. If they removed the self-slow on trap and made sticky bomb a one-button press throw I'd be so happy.

All you have to do is aoe and roll over them. And when you get caught if he is reloading you should not be dodging. They’re great vs jittery key spammers

I get that this video shows how musket can be great, and he definitely shows the sleeper skills I’ve been using since launch so props to the 100% life steal tanky glass cannon build for 2s that wins most encounters. However, unfortunately the main advantage I abuse for musket is the surprise of just using the skills at all. 1. Traps are underused and no one realizes that once your trapped it over for you becuase I out dps you with 100% life steal as a glass cannon 2. People haven’t fought musket since S1 so it’s a hard thing to time sticky bomb dodge and roll shots for musket becuase everyone has forgotten the timing 3. Becuase most people run con in the game now if you can avoid take damage for the first few hits then there is a hesitation lapse that occurs when the enemy decides not to commit to destroying you in 1 combo, and it’s almost like an illusional shield that acts like a deterrent when they see you at 100% health All these things allow for that window of decimation that the musket is capable of with the glass cannon build. I love that people are giving musket a try again. But unfortunately it is still the worst weapon in the game for overall content IMO. If they made the bullet disappear after 50 or 60m and returned the accuracy back then I think I would still a great option then

@@devonrandall3149 Yeah, I'm excited to get back to my bleed/lifesteal Musket/Spear build in Season 2 with the cyclone buff. Wins most 1v1 but 1vX can be tricky. Pyrifying Toast will be fixed but I hope it still works well. Can't wait to have Alacrity back on my Amulet. It's also going to get fixed.

The issue with musket is that long ranged weapons are super imbalanced for the type of combat we have in this game, I don't miss getting sniped like crazy from across the map in OPR, but your right that it is a very wired look for muskets playstyle right now!

I run this for trapper build with a spear. It's fun and challenging.
