KRS-One first gained notoriety as the blastmaster behind Boogie Down Productions - Bronx soldiers from hip-hop's late-'80s golden age who, like Public Enemy, rendered their revolutionary buffalo stance louder than a bomb. Since going solo, KRS-One has proven to be one of rap's most unpredictable personalities - like ODB inhabited by Noam Chomsky, in some moments he kicks true knowledge, in others utter nonsense. But he's never boring, and as a live performer, KRS-One is frequently unmatched, a veritable shock-and-awe explosion of rat-a-tat edutainment. And should things get slow - which is unlikely - he can always wheel out BDP classics "South Bronx," "My Philosophy," "Stop The Violence," and "You Must Learn. Person Theatre, Sept 15th 7:30pm

I had to write this because it's so crazy. My name is Andre Beard, and I currently Graduated from Sonoma State University in spring 2020. It's so so surreal that he didn't even predict George Floyd nor the Corna Virus. But after having an English degree and still remaining broke it does truly hurt indeed. Heed his words, as they are gifts for inspiration, as he's not lying. You don't wanna be trapped, in debt, with nothing left to hang on but a nose of bad food. Be smart, be wise, and have a great rest of your life, to those of who watch later in time to come.

I loved hearing the history. In grade school break dancing was popular. Most of us was breaking white and black together. Glad for it cause we had unity. No stress just love for your fellow brother. God bless

KRS ONE is very inspirational. I recall the first time I heard the Edutainment CD. That made me very curious to learn. As a result I began to gravitate to he and other artist such as X-Clan, Poor Righteous Teachers, and Brand Nubian. I gained an insatiable appetite for HIP HOP and Self-Actualization. Like KRS ONE, I too was broke and homeless but HIP HOP empowered me to go on to earn four degrees (receipts) and become a lawyer. lol

I can relate to everything he says. My whole life, people have seen me, and assumed I'm a nerd, socially inhibited, and shy. Then, they test me. The people that at first glance underestimate, I trample and embarrass them. Then, I dare them to tell me I can't do something.

People underestimate me, and try to treat me like I have no idea. Those are the people that I just embarrass. Either don't help them, and let what their trying to do fall apart, or do it better than them so the client changes his or her mind and hires me instead.

He’s awesome but he’s delusional if he thinks cool Herc created hip hop people was rapping on music since the 60s Cool Herc made changes with Music but he wAsnt a rapper he was a DJ without the rappers the music would’ve been just cool sounding music. He knew cool Herc personally but Herc never said he created hip hop KTS Ima need you to stop this narrative! They all sampled James Brown if anything it’s him- He’s trying to say this Jamaican not African Americans created hip hop no he didn’t!!
