As a “white” person I watch KRS One every day to start my day. His values and ancient technique of saying “Rockstar” or “Hip Hop” is just incredible. I respect him very very much. I know he isn’t saying all whites people are the same but it kind of felt that way at points in this speech. I just hope all people can be people together in this world and be loving towards each other and evolve into a world with no hatred. Since watching his speeches, I’ve stopped arguing with people. I have great conversations with all people and color does not come into my mind (never has). If someone is nice to me, I am nice to them. I hope we can all get to this point and it shouldn’t take effort.

While i never disagree with my brotha. This needs to be added. There is direct teaching, what KRS is doing here in his talk about our words. Ive had this conversation with many people. There is also INDIRECT teaching. Which will always come before words. There was a time, few of us think of now or even train to remember, when you did not have words. You could not move your mouth or tongue to formulate them. This is where indirect teachings thru example enters. We learn as MIMICS. And we MIMIC EVERYTHING. This is an action and you start it FAR before you ever speak. Its the MOST PROMINENT teaching method and the least to have any awareness directed to itself. ACTIONS teach you far before words EVER did. Words are the second phase in your learning. Emotions are third. ACTIONS are your first thing. For you must WALK to stay SAFE before you speak and ask it to not kill you. All animals learn locomotion BEFORE DIRECT communication. We talk with out bodies, our actions and examples, long before we utter sound. Your parents make you feel loved and safe thru ACTIONS. We then later reinforce that all with words. Then further with emotions. Words come before emotions as you ascribing BELIEF SYSTEMS to those words. Again, this is just added to the whole. ENJOY!!! ONE LOVE MY HIPHOP FAMILY!!!! PEACE!!!
