Long time back once when I was in Chennai, my mother from Madurai sent this manoharam in large quantity, about 2,3kgs.through my friend who was coming to Chennai, and informed me thru a letter. I was eagerly waiting for its arrival, and alas, i got the letter, but I never saw my friend from then on for long time!

Real manoharam is with Kamala I Manu. This Tanjore replica is a poor imitation of original. My grandmother used to mix kadalaimavu, siriparauppu Mavu, mixed with a little wet ground puzhungal arisi in manoharam uzhaku- larger hole. It will have a hole in the centre.
