Nothing more satisfying than an easy fix once in a while, nice one

Turn the key the other way, to the left, and hold it there to heat up glow-plugs. when holding key to the left, look in the hole above key, look for it turning red, some don't get really red, so you can try and feel heat coming out of that little hole with your hand. Look really close at printed letters next to key, on the black plastic around the outside of the key switch.you will see a curly symbol (glow-plug) to the left. Turning key one click to the right, is POWER, letting you know key-power is on.

yep i figured out the glowplug issue (I didn't know there was a heating element and there was a loose/disconnected wire - everything works now and I know how to use it!). On mine, there are two lights, one for low oil pressure which is on when you turn the key, and one for when the parking brake is engaged (the P light).

First thing for me today on my G4200, taking the starter off to get it rebuilt. Than on to the deck!
@johnanders88614 жыл бұрын
Dave Kana I would just get a new one that rebuilt. I had 3 rebuilt and 2 of them broke within a week or 2, and one was dead from the factory. Finally got a new high torque one.

John Anders, I’ll see how it goes, the best place in town redid my original starter. Do they make a high torque for the 2cylinder?

My injections were loose on my g5200 and it was running but like shit but same ordeal the nut on the injector was loose
@davew6574 жыл бұрын
I watched again and i think you said, "turn this nothing". meaning you were turning to the left.
@davew6574 жыл бұрын
have you figured out what the wing-nut is for that's right next to the dip-stick ? i can find the part online, but not on mention of what it drains. mine is dry when taken out. has some white dust on end of screw but that's it. don't know if anti-freeze or fuel or oil is supposed to be in there. i looked up injectors, drains, petcocks, can't find anything but the part itself.

Mine does nothing when i open it..it looks like a drain but not sure what...I will try and figure it out.

My key broke in the ignition what type of ignition and key do I need?
@BubbasWorkshop Жыл бұрын
Kubota part# 66021-55130 $86.07 at messicks.com or you can rig your own. You need a switch that has acc - off - run - start. You need the ACC for the glowplugs so the normal cheap off-run-start switch won't work unless you wire the glowplugs to a separate momentary (pushbutton) switch.

@@BubbasWorkshop what type of battery do they use because the g4200h I got has circular connectors and the battery’s terminals aren’t circular

Cool I’m working on a g5200 It seems to crank over good and has good compression but just won’t fire Even on ether ,, yeah I know your not supposed to do that

Maybe try bleeding the injectors?
@Lawnmower-os5pg4 жыл бұрын
BubbaEinstein I got her running today I heated up the engine with a torch and used a gas rag on the intake and she came to life,,, it smoked a lot at first but seemed to clear up It idles real rough like it might be missing a cylinder I’m wondering if one of the injectors is leaking but I’m no diesel expert I’ll get a chance to cold start it tomorrow
@BubbasWorkshop4 жыл бұрын
@@Lawnmower-os5pg if you get it running again crack injectors one at a time like I did in the video that'll bleed them and also tell you if one of them isn't contributing anything
@Lawnmower-os5pg4 жыл бұрын
BubbaEinstein can there still be air in them even after running awhile? I’ll try that thought Thanks
@BubbasWorkshop4 жыл бұрын
@@Lawnmower-os5pg on some I think it can because the air kind of acts as a shock absorber that just lets the fuel move back and forth instead of being forced out of the injector The other thing would be is like on my video I don't think my lines had a big noticeable leak but there was one that was loose and that made all the difference so I would check each line and make sure they're tight
