As an introvert, you have no idea how much I wish we had these types of private rooms in public transport over here in Australia Over here it's considered too antisocial
@canadianwolf2895
@canadianwolf2895 Жыл бұрын
I wish we had this in Canada. Also wish we had better trains to trek cross country. All we have in that dept are way over priced, very old, very ugly VIA rail. Travel/ touring busses equally ugly, crampy, and overpriced. Id trek my country all the time if even a few of our busses or trains were even 50% as nice and affordable as what is in Japan.

The reason trains don’t have these kinds of rooms is because too many people take them, if they were to seperate trains in this manner they’d become significantly more scarce and thus unaffordable
@canadianwolf2895
@canadianwolf2895 Жыл бұрын
@@ethangrant8736 I dont think they would become unaffordable. If more people used the services they would profit more. As it is, millions would just rather pay to fly. If one is to be crammed and uncomfortable in an ugly mode of transportation, best to get it over with as quick as possible.

It's a shame Kuga didn't do a little more on Kinosaki itself. It's a really delightful town and a highlight of a previous trip to Japan, staying overnight in a traditional Ryokan and visiting the many onsens in the town, with sakura 🌸 on the trees lining the main street either side of the canal. We got limited express 🚆 from Osaka to Kinosaki and then from Kinosaki direct to Himeji the next day, no 🚌 for us that time, but thanks for sharing the experience of the coach with a private room.

Been to Kinosaki and loved it, even took the same route down to Himeji afterward. I've since recommended it to others who have visited Japan.

I love and hate Japan travel videos in equal measure lol. Just everything makes travel in most other locations seem "just not so good". The private room/Loan of goodie bag was just amazing. And wth - self heating Ekiben !! When i go to Japan again, I can see me enjoying more than just the peak of rail travel (Shinkansen). So many bus / ferry options that are amazing ! Great video as always.

Keep these types of videos coming! With JR raising the price of the Japan Rail pass to such an extreme, more tourists may be interested in taking the bus or ferry instead of a train. I would take this bus.

Okay this is cool. I wish we had things like this in North America. We have them on trains but not on busses. We have this train trip that last 5 days and you can get a small room on the train. It's called the Great Canadian. I hope to go on it one day.

i live in canada to and you're correct in what you have mentioned. maybe one day, greyhound and since i live near the GTA will have the same on their GO bus services. the train you mentioned is quite expensive, but once in a lifetime to travel on since you and me have not had the goodness of trying that train. cheers.

My first impression was not so nice. Within the first minutes of ride I thought: That bus has a horrible whisling squeaking sound to it. But luckily that seems to have resolved by the rest of the ride. Anyway this compartment is nice if someone really wants to be left alone. That food looked amazing.

Including the a.r. glasses seems insane, and at first I thought it’d be something cool … but if it’s just an imaginary floating screen - even though there’s a real screen *right there* in the room!! - then that’s just lame. Instead they should make it so you could watch Mothra outside flying beside the bus!
