Nice video, Adam and a topic near and dear to my heart and profession: my company manufactures utility (substation) transmission transformers (up to 765,000 Volts). Exact same principal though as is used in your world: power in = power out. Meaning, as the voltage steps down the current rises proportionally. Some power is lost in sound/vibration and heat. Most importantly, as you note, is to not undersize either the wire gauge or the transformer rating (wattage) as the high current stress will shorten the life of the transformer.

I ordered some wixann 2700k for my volt Fatboys 👀 , work like a champ so far !!!! Think they were 6 for 15$. Great video 👍🏽. Keep up good work. Think Costco Volt kit is on sale for 399$ again 🤷🏽‍♂️

I have to run a 120V wire about 30 feet outdoor to install a GFI receptacle that I'll plug my 300 watt transformer into. What guage wire would you use for the 120V line?

80% usage is code but also gotta figure VA that lamps use which is more than the actual stated watts. Never try to squeeze 150 watts on 150w trans because it won't work consistently

Adam, if I just need to connect one light on the other side of my house, and I don't want to run wire under driveway, I will need the smallest transformer I can buy that will do the job. Any recommendations?

I have a very old transformer. Its posted on it that only 11 "lights" can be connected. Our house is very large, very long. Its nearly 90 ft from the driveway to front door. I guess Im going to need several transformers.

Base the amount of lights on the watts used. You can check to see what the wattage is. If its a 300w +, I would definitely keep it and add a ton of lights on it. You really only need 1 transformer maybe 2 if you like the front and back to be on different transformers.
