Landscaping Mafia

The plaintiff says he was contracted to do landscaping for the defendant and did a great job. The check he was paid with bounced, and he claims the defendant told him he was with the mafia and threatened him when he tried to collect. He’s suing for what he’s owed. The defendant says the plaintiff did a lousy job and his nephew wrote the check off a closed account.

Damn nice house!!!! Looked this guy up. He has a history of bad check writing to steal merchandise and is in jail. The house was a rental. He's nobody special. Just a crook. "What baffles me is why would a scammer appear on The People's Court?" The answer to that is that the People's Court pays for everything and he has no money. Narcissists like that never think they do anything wrong and judging that this is a 2015 case and he was convicted in 2019 for offenses in 2016 and on, it means that not enough people watched this episode of the People's Court.

Back in the mid 90s I started my first landscape business and got stiffed for $1,200 by a lawyer that told me I needed to take him to court. I waited for him to pull his BMW in the garage and dumped a truck of grass clippings in front of the garage door. He offered to pay in full if I removed the pile, but I left it there all steaming and composting so he'd think twice before stiffing a service worker ever again.

So I do frequent updates, and also send the tracking number once the item is shipped. I don't have an actual business and make less than $100 monthly, so I don't have contracts. In one, he brandished a knife and forced a guy he'd written a bad cheque to, to drive to a bank and deposit a fraudelant cheque into the victims own account, then withdraw the $10,000. The articles I read said he mainly targeted females, outright stealing credit cards, and apparently even the identity of a few of them. Wonder if that was why the girlfriend he mentions was on again, off again? PS. Curts intro was corny! 😄

That defendant who is currently serving 96 months in prison for wire fraud, robbery and bad checks got the $10,000 dollars he whipped out by holding a victim at gun point and demanding they deposit a bad check from him into their bank account and pull out $10,000 in cash, what a scum bag

"In February 2019, Scura was a customer of an internet-based business owned and operated by a New Jersey man. To pay for the services of the business, Scura wrote at least one fraudulent check to the victim. When the victim insisted on cash payment, Scura drove with the business owner to a bank, where Scura brandished a gun, threatened to kill the victim, and demanded that the victim deposit a fraudulent check for $10,000 into the victim’s bank account and then withdraw $10,000. The victim did as Scura directed and then gave Scura the $10,000."

What a pompous jerk the defendant was... And the only thing I disagree with the judge on is taking the guy's cash before the job. Unless he was going to sign and date saying it was given because this guy is trouble!
