Wanna know how a Laney sounds, clean, on a 7 string Schecter Demon, playing bluegrass? Why wouldn't you?! Also this shows the amp settings for the next video after this: DOES IT METAL BRO?

Footswitch working by release is a good thing IMO. Otherwise when it changes immediately there might be slight timing problems. It's very much like cocking a revolver's hammer before firing. It depends on how timely you want your changes though.

This was a little out of the ordinary as far as my normal style of playing, but observing bluegrass techniques helped my playing a lot when I was younger. Just add distortion and a minor scale to get a "heavier" type of feeling.

Can you use a footswitch in Laney LX65R? What brands are compatible? Ty

I used foot switches with it and all brands are compatible.

can it handle 4x4 meter rehearsal room?
@Aaronek5 Жыл бұрын
My answer is yes. But if you have a drummer in said room you are going to have to push the volume for sure. I still stand by adding an additional speaker cab with it so you can push enough air and maintain headroom.

Hi, is the reverb dry-through?
@Aaronek53 жыл бұрын
So the reverb is right before the power amp section just like most reverbs. I have it set minimally on 1 or 2. It isn't the best but it does its job. I think it's actually pretty "wet" because it can cause some unwanted results on higher settings with distortion. Reverb is a tricky effect to get right on a combo amp at this price point. Hopefully this answers your question, thanks for the comment and take care!

@@Aaronek5 Okay, thanks. I was just wondering whether the circuit sends the *entire* signal through the digital reverb or whether it splits it in two and sends half through the digital stage and retains half the signal as analogue..? I might email Laney direct and ask them. Thanks again.

@@wodenoftheangles3339 From what I can tell from the circuit diagram is that it is "wet" because the entire signal is being processed and it is very digital. I was playing a 1980s tube fender twin reverb before I bought the laney and the laney falls way short compared to the fender, of course! The lx65r is an awesome "broadcasting" and pedal platform. But the distortion section and reverb has its own specific flavor. I run all effects and an additional pre amp and power amp into the effects loop. Then I have a 2x10 cabinet hooked up as well. For this purpose the lx65r does its job very well and I still haven't had any issues with the build quality. Im thinking of doing a rig rundown type of video because a lot of people use cheaper combo amps and a lot of these amps have good versatility if you know the basics about circuitry. Thanks again for the comment, sorry this one is so long!
