I wanted to do a follow up to my unboxing video, because Laney DOES NOT get enough love. Part 2 is a Clean Demo, and there is a Part 3 DOES IT METAL BRO? Thanks for watching and please check out my channel for other musical chaos.

I had it. With digital multieffects box or analog pedals like distortion, delay and reverb it sounds "good" but it lacks of body and tightness, its sound is loud but too thin and too bright, anyways it is an entry-level amp, I would say to practice at home eventhough it is loud

After years of playing many amps and picking this up while living abroad it has the issues you mentioned. But after running it with an IR system into a 2x10 cab I have started to get a pretty nice baritone tight modern sound.

@@Aaronek5 does Laney LX65R cover heavy drummer???
@Aaronek5 Жыл бұрын
@@dejanarsovski1473 It does but I would recommend running a cab with it. If you are in a small practice space it’s plenty loud with a drummer but if you’re looking at a moderate sized room or on stage I highly recommend running it into any type of speaker cab to achieve a louder more controlled sound.

Hey everyone, check out my latest video to see that the LX65R REALLY IS loud enough! I can honestly say that it can keep up with a 4x12 with the volume at 8 in a band situation. Thanks for watching!

gonna get this for back up my Peavey Bandit 112...

I stopped doing videos but I still use this amp every week with the punk band and my recording project. I still HAVE NOT HAD A SINGLE PROBLEM! I used a 4x10 cab with it for a while but switched to a 2x10. NO REGRETS!

Is it worth having as an amp for heavy metal gigging? Is the distortion sound good enough? Pls reply as soon as possible Tks
@Aaronek55 жыл бұрын
The amp by it self with humbuckers has plenty of distortion and volume for a gig. Adding your favorite overdrive and/or distortion pedals would guarantee a heavy sound. The thing I love most about the LX65R is that it IS VERY LOUD. The HH speaker inside is made to be pushed. The line out is awesome because you can run out to a PA System or to another speaker and the HH speaker inside stays active as well. Hope this helps you out, feel free to ask more questions.

Planning to have one of these! Just a question, how do we use the Extension Speaker at the back?
@Aaronek54 жыл бұрын
First of all you WILL NOT REGRET BUYING IT. Mine is still going strong. Secondly, for adding an extension cab, all you need is a speaker cable, and a cab rated at 8 ohms or 16 ohms. I use 2x12, or 2x10, or 4x10, depends on what or who im playing with. Hope this was helpful!

@@Aaronek5 Thanks Man! Im still thinking if I will get the 65R or the 120RT.. If I add an extension cab, will I still hear the internal speaker? Both of them, the internal speaker and the extension cab will work at the same time? Thanks!!!
@Aaronek54 жыл бұрын
@@EhrosmithTV With my 65r the internal speaker works as well when you use a cab. I really like using a 2x10 cab because it adds different frequencies compared to the internal 12 inch speaker. Having a variety of speakers running at the same time creates a really good balanced sound.

@@Aaronek5 Thanks for the info! :-) Ive decided to go with 65R.. Im just playing in my home studio. Sometimes in a backyard jam with friends. It bugs me a little carrying a big combo amp. So, 65r will be the best fit... Maybe, we'll custom made a cab.. A celestion speaker I guess.. Stay safe this ECQ. Hope you are doing well. :-)

Ey broma hood review. Just one question bro. I wanna play with a big muff, Will it work with this amp? Cheer from Chile!
@Aaronek55 жыл бұрын
It takes pedals very well. I've used different setups with this amp and I have not had any problems. Clean channel is very warm and a perfect foundation for effects. The drive channel also works well if you are really looking for an overdriven sound with effects.

Can u tell the HH speaker sensitivity?
@Aaronek54 жыл бұрын
I will try my best to understand your question. The HH that Laney is producing currently has a very good midrange combined with a tight low-end. Highs are clear and not too chimey. Sensitivity I would explain like this: the speaker "activates" very well at moderate to high volume, and this is when the volume is at 6+. At 8 the volume is too loud for me to hear our drummer. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask more.
@JoseCarlos-rw6xv4 жыл бұрын
In dB. Like the Celestion v30 sensitivity is 100db. Cause 3dB double the level. But what u say give me a good location

is it a tube amp?
@Aaronek55 жыл бұрын
No it isn't. It's a Solid State 65 watt. I prefer solid state but non-digital, but everyone has their own preferences.
