Barbara, I appreciate that you didn’t edit out the struggle you had with this journal. For me it helps to know that even people like you, who I know are capable of producing real works of art, are sometimes unsure of themselves and their work. I loved that you knew when to lay the piece aside for a bit, but then came back with the attitude that nothing would be accomplished by letting the work lay around and just thinking about it. You are so right that sometimes you just have to start, and inspiration will come. And just look, you made another work of art! Thank you for all you’ve shared this year. I am so happy to have found your channel and I wish you all the good stuff in 2022!

Dear Barbara, you do such beautiful things... I like very much your amaizing sense of style. I'm a scraper for several years. I like it, but for some time I started to get bored. In scrapbooking everything is too "decent" - straight lines, accuracy, measuring to the millimeter... Now I'm starting to discover junk journaling world. So happy to be taken along on your paper journal journey Barbara😍. I love every part of this journal...all the scrumptious layers, the wonderful wrinkly sounds, my favorite aesthetic of nature and and the cute forest animals. I am lucky enough to live in the country and regularly have the fortune of seeing deer, fox, rabbits, woodchucks and lots of birds: all so near and dear to my heart. Even though you said this wasn't your comfort zone, your awesome artistic ability shone brightly💥💥💥💥❣My biggest take away from your inspiring example was to keep going and trying! I really love wilderness/forest theme you have In your journal. I love the feel and the noise those bags have but I would never have chosen them together to make a journal. The color of the bags go great with paper and other elements you used, it looks wonderful Barbara.

Baby girl, this is gettin' better 'n' better! I finished a big project for a friend and though I'm supposed to be "redoing my craft room" (🙄 ...the heck does that even mean? I mean, REALLY!?!) I pulled some papers out the other day, folded 'em up, stared at them for 20 minutes, got a headache, and put 'em all away. Guess my "just start" mojo couldn't... start, I mean. Suggestion on the spine issue. I'd take a plastic tubing or even a pool noodle, slice it to fit over the spine,and glue it down .

This would make a great prompt journal for writing. Even at 28 pages: what a great sit down for each day to spark some words of wisdom, creativity or just "art" time...The writings are easily created on a piece of any kind of paper and slipped into each bag...

Love the grunge! I had to get a new printer and took advantage of the free in from HP and got myself a lifetime membership to the Digital Collage Club. . I NEED that butterfly! I love the site but it can be hard to find what you are looking for even if you have the name.
