Hello,... and thank you for stopping by. I appreciate each and every one of you joining me here. It's very kind of you to share your energy, your thoughts, your time.
In this video, I'm explaining the smell in the van -- hint -- it's coolant!
It's alot of talking. I don't want all my videos to be this way. Wow that was alot of editing to remove all the "uuh"s and "like"s... That's why it took me so long to get this video out. Avoidance much? Aiming to do a better job at speaking clearly. That's been a life long theme... so lets see how it goes :-).

Great video, you've got a good grasp of how the coolant system works. A simple flush of the heater core in & out lines/hoses, (many videos on youtube) might have been all you needed. No tearing into the dash. Good luck getting the van in shape!

Hey Awesome Socks!! Thank you 😊😊. Do you figure what the mechanic told me could be likely? Smell is just coming from the coolant that once leaked onto the transmission? It’s hard to tell cause I can’t get my face in there to smell it!! 😂 Thanks for watching 🙏

Ya - probably good to do heater core flushes!! Canadian tire said they wouldn’t do that cause then there is a risk to cause damage to the core and create a leak 🤷‍♀️ . Anyway, Thanks for the tip.

HI, so if coolant level is NOT dropping in the reservoir & they did a pressure test, you're probably good as far as leaking. You might change your cabin air filter behind the glove box, especially if the former owner had a coolant problem. One last thing, being a pre owned vehicle pull the passenger side front floormat up and make sure the carpet is not wet with coolant. Good Luck!

@awesomesocks444 thanks for that. I did go on a wild goose chase for the cabin air filter a while back. Apparently this model/year doesn’t have it. I did look behind glove box. And yes did check under the mats for coolant as well. Thank you for your expertise!! 👋

Hi, I found your channel just today and cant stop watching. I relate so much to every video I have watched so far (being a virgo myself may have a little something to do with it) I plan on buying a van soon and every emotion you've shared in the beginning, I am feeling. Oh...I jumped to this video just to comment, havent watched yet. I think I may be on number 6 or 7 from the beginning of your van adventure. Cant wait to catch up. Rose
