Looks like you were using a DPST slide switch. I believe SPST would also work as you are only using one set of wiring contacts.

All I can say is "that is so damn nice"...I have the slide switches but do not need to worry about any power routing as my layout has no electricity on it. I have battery powered locomotives and they work just great.

That's a great idea, I guess a person could use the slide switch for point lighting...If someone knows hoe to wire up a switch Please let me know.
