I can tell you that people think that it's weird when a woman is perfectly fine alone. While I am in a new relationship, I wasn't seeking one because I felt lonely. Loneliness is a concept that I grasp intellectually. It is not something I have ever experienced. While seeking a partner, I ran into men who couldn't understand how I was alright on my own. I don't seek to fulfill any needs outside of myself, other than what it takes to maintain a human body, etc. I am a highly introspective and introverted person, so keeping my own company is a well-oiled habit. Thank you for the reminder that we must be happy with who we are before we can seek to find a partner to add to the happiness we hold in our lives.

I’ve been doing ALOT of inner work on myself this year and I came to a place where I LOVE myself. I love being single. I enjoy spending time alone. I can definitely say that I am coming into the space of peace. I don’t feel like I need a man to make me happy. I’m already at peace and happy with who I am.

I don't mind being alone. But there is an inherent need to have social connections. When I've been single, I've gone to concerts, bars, out to eat etc by myself. One of my best experiences ever was when I went to a Vince Staples concert by myself. Got to the venue, upgraded my ticket to VIP for about 30 extra bucks. Skipped the line and vibed by myself the whole night. Just an FYI, if you like hip hop, go see Vince Staples live, that man DELIVERS a show!!!!

I spent the past 3 years being alone...the 1st year was very difficult! But each day got easier. When this country shut down I was in heaven. Now I am at my best in life. i’ve been alone my whole life. i’ve been around family, some friends, and have had my fair share of toxic relationships. i can’t understand why the girls i like are so toxic tho. yet i like them, the kid just want real love. i don’t know why i choose to stick around with these women who aren’t right me and takes me forever to truly accept it, once they leave me or something negative happens in my life. it’s crazy, i got problems … i’m alone again for real, i figure learning to enjoy my own company is the best way for me to be truly happy despite everything.
