The moral of the story is to search for substance in your prospective mate. Looking good is great, but looks fade. Having money is great, but financial situations change constantly. Seek substance and assess the person's character to obtain true wealth, security, and love. Amen.

God willing I'll be 39 shortly. I've been celibate for 1year. I can say this with confidence: if it's not God sent, I don't want it. If it's not PURPOSE DRIVEN, sir walk on by! Listen to me. I used to be so sad. Wondering why a man hasn't chosen me... TO GOD BE THE GLORY for his covering and protection. The things I am hearing about in these relationships MAY GOD keep me from Amen I do t care if I never have sex again. When you begin to love yourself and find God this other shyt go out the door.

Very good point of conversation in this video my good brother. I'll just say the best kind of relationship we could have is the relationship we have with ourselves before we start looking for somebody else. People chase after money and material things but don't even have knowledge of themselves. As I was told growing up "If you're not good for yourself how can you be good for somebody else" Very strong statement. Great subject of conversation bro.

I have to disagree with your analogy on the screwing over of people. I myself spent my early 20s serving in the U.S. Army. I never screwed over anyone; I was in relationships with people who weren't ready for relationships. Years later, I look back at those individuals and find that they have been married multiple times and have multiple babies by multiple women. I have never been married, and I am 48. The biggest mistake I made was trying to give more than was being given to me in the relationship. I learned a hard lesson; it could have made me bitter , yet it made me stronger. I do agree that people get together for the wrong reason, but remember, misery loves company.

Beauty fades but character is eternal. At my age what I hear from both men and women is worrisome and detrimental to the stability to the black community. A healthy community is dependent on healthy families. Many ask me why I’ve been single for the past 4 years and it’s simple: I was blessed to share 18 years with my best friend. He wasn’t a fine dresser, in fact he was country, down to earth, but the strongest and most progressive man I’ve ever known besides my father and loved me just as much. When you know what good looks like, you’re not going to settle for nothing less. Is money and looks important, of course, but like this young man stated, you must go deeper if you really want to obtain a good partner to share your life with. Trust me when you do, it will be the most satisfying thing you can ever dream off.

I respect what he's saying, and I agree with some of it. As far as the money situation, I do believe you are supposed to live within your means. But I don't agree that couples that have no money are happier. Also, in the real world, we need money. Not having money would be okay if we still went by the barter system or money didn't exist but that's not the case. As a woman, I don't believe in being with a man that has no goals, no ambition, and no money. I believe a man should get his financial situation together first before getting a woman. What if you have children one day? I don't believe in relying on welfare forever. I think it makes a relationship easier when the man is providing financially. If you have a woman that you feel like you shouldn't provide for then she is not the woman that you want.

It’s known as a high school work-study program? Ms. Terry sounds like a wonderful teacher. What was your experience with the program outside of the distraught employee? Manager, Right? Yes! It’s extremely important to support each other. I speak on reciprocity all the time. Specifically, how attractive it is to have that kind of all-around support. No vanity. Simply biblical love well into old age. Truly until death do us apart. What’s not romantic about loving one person? How is it that men/women find comfort, excitement and substance in short term arrangements, booty calls and spontaneous hookups? One night stands, speed dating and friends with benefits are praised by current generations. It’s somewhat nerve reckoning. I’m happy you speak on the wonderful aspects of having character, morals and building a foundation of principles. Thanks Shumake Way for keeping it REAL all the time. Blessings BIG BIG L💞VE - 🌺InspirationByB

I’m sorry I’m gonna have to disagree with you on this one. You need more then love to make a marriage work. Women need to feel financially secure to feel safe with a man. You don’t have to be rich but a man should be able to provide for his wife and his family otherwise he is not ready for marriage. He needs to go back and build and then get his wife as it says in the Bible. A real man should not want a woman to struggle with him if he’s truly loves her. My husband would rather sacrifice and go without then see me struggle same with my father. The love conquers all fairytale type love doesn’t work in the real world it never has. That is why the divorce rate is so high. Chemistry wears off in 18 months there has to be more to it to sustain the marriage.

When my wife and I first met, I was working as an overnight warehouse worker while struggling to get my business off the ground during the day. I drove a beat-up Kia that barely ran and I was struggling financially. She could have chosen to wait at the finish line (like so many other women do today) but she chose to stay because she saw that I was ambitious, motivated, and determined and I was going somewhere. After a while, my business started to pick up steam and I was able to quit my overnight job. Now we never have to worry about money as we did in the earlier days and because of loyalty throughout those hard years I value her more.

Brother. You got me together this morning. Just when I thought I was one of those ladies who could be down with her man when he is going through a situation. There is room for improvement for me. So as of right now. My tolerance is going to another level. I will not be so quick to let things go. I want tolerance from a man who is willing to date me and marry me. I must give more tolerance to a man also, if I want to receive more tolerance for me. And I wonder why I am single. SMH. Thank you.

1st of all God and good morals It's gonna take you a long ways Because The outside beauty don't count it's what's on the inside of your heart that counts If your heart is black That is not beauty but if your heart is sunshine That is God's shining in you And God is a provider for his children That is the only way you will win if God is in front of all your situations And all your relationships Put his relationship 1st God and you will be ahead all the time

Many people nowadays treat relationships as a competition to see who can do the most emotional damage and control their bf/gf while getting the most benefits out of it. Basically, many folks are treating relationships as a toxic fest. "Who can go the lowest and be the most narcissistic?", says the toxic We need folks to go about things in the ways of the Lord Jesus Christ. Repentance and selflessness (not selfishness) is needed. Being holy, not hedonistic, would serve both involved greater. Instead of being of a "fresh and fit", red pilled, opposite gender hating mindset, let's get back to God and love as how He commands us to.

Now instead of two incomes you’ve got only one income. If she wants to stay she will. No excuses. Pookie seems to always have options. Just saying..
