And Mc Queen, and Newman, Redford, Mastroiani, Hoffman, Brandauer, Sinatra, Holden...She really worked with the gotha of actors. The ones who are up there on the pantheon of acting. That woman had a HUGE POINT there.

I love Faye and I think this video is really cool! Faye has a big POINT to make, and it is why can't the reporters talk about many of the interesting things she has done? However, I wish she would come to terms with Mommie Dearest and realize that it really is a big piece of her history (not the only piece though) and many of her die-hard fans like me loved her in it! In fact, I think Joan Crawford would have loved it too as Joan in real life adored Faye as a real star.

Faye has said in interviews that she will not discuss Mommie Deaerst because during the filming of that classic movie she was going through a hard time in her life.

It's insulting for someone with her body of work to be pestered about an ex-husband and one mediocre movie. Mommy Dearest was 27 years ago! What else can be said? Why is this schmuck still bugging her about it? And, honestly, even if the movie as a whole wasn't great, Faye totally rocked it! She's right - Give him hell, Ms Dunaway!

Pipe61, I kinda agree with you, but at the same time this movie, no matter wether you think it good/bad, put Joan back on the map again and got the whole country talking about her. I actually thought the movie showed Joan as bi-polar, and in some scenes Faye played her more as a woman/child, and yet in other scenes, you are right, she was a child-abuser. The bottom line is, this movie made Joan a household name with a new generation of filmgoers, and I think maybe Joan would have liked that.

Sorry-cant agree. This movie came out 4 years after Joan's death. We still remembered her brilliant career. True, it had petered out toward the end. Yes, this (dreadful) film made Joan known to a new generation - but for all the wrong reasons. I'd rather remember her as the vivacious flapper of the '20's, the shopgirl of the '30's, the STAR of the '40's, the great bitch of the '50's, etc. than as a grotesque hanger-wielding harpie that may only have existed in Christina's imagination.

Faye has made too many incredible movies and has made many mediocre movies better with her presence, I would like to see reporters focus on those Faye-things that have enriched audiences worldwide...bottom line...Faye is a National Treasure!

How can you NOT discuss Mommie Dearest? Its one of the most ridiculous films ever made, and its become a cult success. I respect that she wants to appear as a respectable actress, but she could at least TRY to be gracious about it and see the humor in it.

"I think Joan Crawford would have loved it too as Joan in real life adored Faye as a real star." ****** Yeah right, Joan would have loved a movie that depicted her as a mentally deranged alcoholic harpie who physically abused her children. Uh-huh. No matter how much she admired Dunaway, this movie would have changed that.
