@@BlessedBrodie Doesnt matter if they can hoop they are decent players but on a thrash team they wont help a mid team like the lakers trying to compete they need players around what the team needs a defensive guard that can shoot efficiently from 3 and a Center to help matchup against other big centers so it takes load off AD and he can perform consistently offensively as well because AD needs to be the #1 option now.

Define "so much". He is a young prospect that you've heavily invested in developing. Even through bad coaching, when employed by D.Ham his quality was still good consider his young age and few experience. I think Max has now a really good contract. We will see with new coaching stuff how he will improve on the offensive side and also if he keeps getting better as a perimeter defender, which in my book, he is already above league average for a guard. With Ham we didn't run a single scheme, not a tacting. Every possession was ball to the star and let him cook with whatever or just the basic high pick and roll which is still effective, but still that shouldn't be your identity. I might be biased since I've bought JJ's statement on the importance of 3pts and in the last four years, we have been at best 22th in the league for attempt (not even converted), which speaks for itself

At least at the end of the day we still have AD to play the 5 and some decent backup 5s until we can hopefully make a move during the season or before if possible. But I mean it could be worse, we still have AD to play the 5 for the most part.

Nice of Lebron to take the slight hair cut and give Rob a bit of wiggle room for a trade. But it wont be enough to improve this roster. Our newest additions are long term projects. Knecht could help out right away. I thought he had some great looks. But he still needs some work. Hensen looked nice big body with range. Want to see more of him. I’m coming from a disappointing beginning to the Laker off-season. To a realization that the Lakers are in transition. Giving Lebron a proper send off with an opportunity to play with his Son. Then hitting the reset button after next season. To build around AD and …….who knows. I feel like JJ’s inexperience hurt the Lakers in FA. Even though The Lakers are going the development route anyway. But that means a lot of growing pains and a slow grind to the top. And that’s if you do everything right.

If LeBron cared enough about winning and was smart he would go ahead and do what no athlete has ever done. Play for the league vet minimum and open caps pace for other elite players to join. Only issue I see with this is there wasn't really any elite players this year. Perhaps next year? It would add to his GOAT argument.

I keep getting a gut feeling that this might be Lebron and AD’s last season with the Lakers. Lebron gets to be teammates with his son for a season and then goes to a real contender for one last shot at another ring. That leads to AD requesting a trade and then the Lakers are in a full rebuild.

I would like to commend Rob and the front office in not making reckless trades. Klay, Demar, JonasV are not players that the Lakers really need. They need a 2 way defense 1st wing and.a rugged athletic center who can bang with the big bodies, rebound and block shots ... Now Jerami Grant and Rob Williams is a much better fit and worth 2 protected 1st rounders along with DLo, Rui, JHS and one of the minimum guys ....(Cam?)

We just need a trade that doesn’t destroy our roster. Much harder to do now that half of the free agents are gone. We could do with a better Big and better point of attack defense. We can trade Dlo because he struggles in the playoffs but we’ll need to replace his playmaking.

Lakers are a top 5 team in the West with what they have now as long as JJ pans out. Way Better Coaching and a healthy Vando. All they really need is another shooter (Gary Trent Jr.), resign Spencer Dinwiddie, and trade a Rui/JSH/or Vincent and pick package for a big to move AD to the 4 (Jarrett Allen, Clint Capela, Jakob Poeltl, Walker Kessler).

Laker management should be ashamed of itself. They have positioned themselves so poorly to adapt to new rules/changes. I've been a Laker fan since 1984, I have never seen such a wasteful and incompetent 4-5 year span from Laker management. We want Caruso back after we got nothing for him.
