Original drummer was John Bonham , he died 1980. That's his son Jason playing, pretty cool he could fill in for his dad with the lads all those years later.

The Zeps knew they had to get this show right. They took it deadly serious, reared back and turned in what is possibly the best concert ever. THIS, kids, is the power of live music played by one of the greatest bands of all time.

This is my favourite performance of Kashmir. Even in their 60's they far out match any of today's bands. That was the son of the late great legend that was John Bonham

You must have missed the No Quarter tour. Check out that cd, cuz it has what was billed as an Egyptian orchestra. More like middle eastern music and it really gives off a totally different sound. If I remember correctly it was a 94-95 tour Page/Plant cd. And that was nose bleed section and it was remarkable, one of the best I've ever seen, binoculars, but the music was dumbfounding !

And to see Page and Plant together again and supported by an orchestra must have sounded amazing. *But, with Jason Bonham on drums, this was Real Led Zeppelin playing the songs as they were intended and for the last time.* There were 20 million requests worldwide for 18 thousand tickets.

The key to this song is that the vocals and drums are in 4/4 time, but the keys and guitar are in 3/4 time which you wouldn't notice if you weren't really into time keeping. It's because they so flawlessly play the song together that you don't even notice that they are playing in different times and only line up every 12 measures. The original drummer for Led Zepplin was John Bonham who tragically lost his life a while back. This concert was played by none other than his son, Jason Bonham, who managed to live up to his dad.

John Bonham died in 1980. The remaining members disbanded the group at the same time. This was a special, one-off, reunion concert in 2007. They recruited John's son, Jason, to fill in for his dad. He did pretty well, didn't he? ;) Upon ticket release, there were 20 million requests for tickets on the first day! The great and good of the music World congregated in London to witness it! :)

There were only 20,000 seats available and when they went on sale, all the servers crashed with over 20 million request for tickets in the first 2 hours. Also they were all in their 60's. Kashmir was first released in 1975. Singer is Robert Plant, guitar player is Jimmy Page, keyboards and bass, John Paul Jones, drummer, Jason Bottom, son of original drummer, John Bottom. When they were rehearsing they told the crew, NO AUTO TUNE OR OTHER ENHANCEMENTS, they wanted to do it just like they did in 1975. Voted best rock band of the 60's-70's & 80's. Then came back in 2007 and did this in their 60's and killed it with NO AUTO TUNE OR OTHER ENHANCEMENTS today singers use.

The drummer on this is Jason Bonham which is John Bonham’s son. This was the last Zeppelin reunion. Robert Plant is still touring and is just as awesome! Being in your’s 70’s is the new 40. We may be older but we are still rockin’ and rollin’! I’ll be 60 next year and I still go to about 4 to 6 concerts a year if not more. ✌🏻&♥️ ya’ll

When John Bonham passed away, that ended Led Zeppelin as a band. They went off to different things over the years, and it was when Jason began to play did Zepp, decide to play one more time. and this is it... and so very cool and reminds me of my youth when this song came out back in the early 1970s when I was in my teens. Jason Bonham on drums, son of Zep's original drummer...the legendary John Bonham who passed away in 1980 from a massive consumption of alcohol. Jason Bonham is one of the best drummers in the world. His dad John, who is considered the greatest rock drummer of all time, was Jason's personal drum teacher.

Sorry, dude....but NO: Dire Straits came out of Newcastle...Brian Johnson of AC/DC came out of Newcastle. The Beatles were all from Liverpool. Plant and Bonham were from the Black Country near Birmingham...I believe that certain members of The Who and The Rolling Stones were also from that area. Page and JPJ were from the London area. Are you sure you did t mean to say England, and not Newcastle?

🤔 Any 70's MSG shows will do. 73/4 Tours I missed. 😭 Mom wouldn't let me go. 🤩 EVERYBODY played MSG! 😁 Finally in 79 (HS) I went. Nosebleed with Knicks Banners in the way! 🙄 And that was every show until I got a job 😁 and could afford better seats. 🍿🐰

Check out a video of Jason Bonham playing for Foreigner. I saw him with them and new great singer ,Kelly, about 10 years ago at Elkhart County 4H Fair, Indiana. It was an amazing show!!

The drummer on this version of Kashmir is Jason Bonham. The son of the original drummer John Bonham who died in 1980 aged 32

If you like rhe drums here listen to "Moby Dick" the drummers dad did a 15 minute drum solo. You'll see why John Bonham is considered the greatest drummer of all time. Wish all 4 of these guys would've said let's just stay. Together and make some more great music. There's a live version from the 70's .

Led Zepellin were basically over and finnished 40 years ago when the drummer died. His son took up the drums and due to popular demand Led Zep got together for only a handful of times over the last 30 years. Less than 5 times and Jason played with them. Pretty amazing considering his father was considered one of the best drummers of all time and LZ songs are difficult. Led Zep are the greatest rock band ever, they made more money, sold more albums and had the biggest concerts in history. Despite all that they never did tv interviews, never gave names to their albums, never did music videos and there is only a few instances of them on film in existence. That is why on YT most of their songs are fan made visuals made up of scraps of footage that aren’t even part of the song. Oh and despite never releasing a single they sold more than 500 million albums. They are the greatest ever. Bigger than the Beatles. But not as well known.

Live version of Trample Under Feet would also put a smile on your face. The thing about Led Zeppelin and other bands, including the Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who, and The Doors, just to name a few, who came out of that era of the 60s and parts of the 70s is that they raised the bar so high in musicianship and originality that very few bands now can't achieve that level. Aging bands like The Rolling Stones, AC DC and Metallica will soon be gone so who do you have left that can really bring it?
