Great song, excellent concert! There were 20 million requests for tickets for this concert, and this happened 27 years after Led Zeppelin disbanded because of the unexpected death of their drummer, John Bonham. That tells you the massive impact Zeppelin had on the world of rock music. Still to this day, 43 years after disbanding, they have the second highest number of rock album sales on record (The Beatles have the highest). These guys were/are a real phenomena and no other band has ever been able to replicate their genius or their magic. Edit: John Bonham's son, Jason, sat in for him on drums during this concert and did an outstanding job!

Dude, hello! BONJOUR !!! I'm writing to you from France. The guy on the keyboards is John Paul Jones, the bassist, keyboardist and arranger of Led Zeppelin (the most discreet, but without him...) When he's on the keyboard, he does the bass with the pedalboard at his feet... (Type Moog Taurus Bass Pedal, that explains the huge bass in this song) On drums is Jason Bonham, son of John died in 1980 and here is his legendary Ludwig Starlite drums. Jason is for the band in a way their nephew... Man, I strongly advise you to buy the blu-ray of this concert in order to have the superb images and the big sound... Don't classify Led Zeppelin songs as: "I prefer this one, I prefer that one..." No, Listen to all Led Zeppelin and let yourself be carried away by the pleasure and the emotion of this incredible band. Merci, thank you to appreciate the good music ! Take care of yourself 🙏🙏🙏

magnificence Plant was so emotional and showing why he is the best. Jimmy playing like he always has and showing why he is still super cool John Paul Jones is showing why he is the glue. The diverse talent of keyboard and bass - a double threat And Jason. Jason Bonham making his old man proud up in the stars looking down at his boy. The child who learned at dad's knee the drums and is the only one in the world who can step in for his dad, Led Zep's original and only drummer.

As an aside, Robert Plant said that there was only one drummer in the world who could stand in for John Bonham and do the drums for Led Zeppelin and that is his son, Jason.

One of their best songs out of a discography of fabulous songs. Great reaction. This was the first time the surviving members played a full concert since their last tour in 1980 and appears to be the final time they will play together. Bonham died later in 1980 and the band disbanded. Understandably. The 4 of them had a unique and irreplaceable chemistry. Jason Bonham is channeling his Dad in this gig. All 4 - such a tight performance!! So Good. Please do more from this gig.

In the 70s he had an androgynous character and his voice and his music were much more Rock. I'm not asking you to react but if you want to do it, feel free to do it. Oh, let the sun beat down upon my face And stars fill my dream I'm a traveler of both time and space To be where I have been To sit with elders of the gentle race This world has seldom seen They talk of days for which they sit and wait All will be revealed Talk in song from tongues of lilting grace Sounds caress my ear And not a word I heard could I relate The story was quite clear Oh, baby, I been blind Oh, yeah, mama, there ain't no denyin' Oh, ooh yes, I been blind Mama, mama, ain't no denyin', no denyin' All I see turns to brown As the sun burns the ground And my eyes fill with sand As I scan this wasted land Try to find, try to find the way I feel Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace Like sorts inside a dream Leave the path that led me to that place Yellow desert stream My shangri la beneath the summer moon I will return again As the dust that floats high in June We're moving through Kashmir Oh, father of the four winds fill my sails Cross the sea of years With no provision but an open face Along the straits of fear Oh, when I want, when I'm on my way, yeah And my feet wear my fickle way to stay Ooh, yeah yeah, oh, yeah yeah, But I'm down oh, yeah yeah, oh, yeah Yeah, but I'm down, so down Ooh, my baby, oh, my baby Let me take you there Come on, oh let me take you there Let me take you there

I just discovered your channel and immediately subscribed after watching just one video (Pink Floyd 'Comfortably Numb'). I have watched many reaction channels and your reactions are so genuine and honest. One can see how excited you are when listening to the songs and discovering new musical spheres, still unknown to you till now. And I especially appreciate that you don't stop the songs every few seconds to say anything about them (something the older among us already know anyway 😉). It's not even necessary, because we can read your enthusiasm from your facial expressions. That says more than words. All this music was and is my companion since my childhood. I am pleased when young people like you experience the same magic and passion that I experience for decades when I hear and feel this music. If you would like to discover another band that is in a league of its own (especially live on stage), I recommend 'Dire Straits' and their 'Alchemy Tour' live performance from 1983. Playing tips: 'Telegraph Road', 'Sultans Of Swing' or 'Tunnel Of Love'. But no matter to what songs you react, just always keep on feeling good music...

It’s so hard to have a Led Zeppelin favorite but this is mine… until I hear another of my favorites. Do Black Dog next! I suggested Whole Lot of Love first over Kashmir because of the fast pace & more rock n roll. Kashmir has a lovely exotic sound. WLL is good for one’s first time hearing Zep imo. Even over Stairway. BTW, this isn’t listening to Led Zeppelin and I say it because they did. There’s no Led Zeppelin without Bonzo. IDK maybe it’s just me but here the song sounds a bit off. I’d like to hear from others on that. Now don’t jump me! I do love the performance. JM, I encourage you to listen to a 70’s recording of Kashmir even for just yourself, not a reaction (tho I wouldn’t complain😊). But! I’m glad you listened to Plant at this age. And it’s very cool Jason Bonham is on the drums. It must have been so cool for him too. Another great reaction! TY

@TalesByTheRiverBank
@TalesByTheRiverBank Жыл бұрын
@@AstiJay I'm not sure why I like this version more than others. It might have something to do with a combination of the sound quality and the vision aspect. This track is from the album "Physical Graffiti" and I have that album on vinyl and CD. The vinyl version is much better than the CD version. Then years later we get Celebration Day. It was (eventually) released on CD and DVD. I have a blu ray copy of the DVD. The sound quality is IMHO better than the CD that I have, but not as good as vinyl. However, the DVD has the added aspect of being visual. On top of that it was good to see that the three surviving members plus Jason could still perform so well so many years after disbanding. I suppose the reason I like that version above others is a combination of things, but probably above all others was seeing Plant, Page and Jones still deliver well into middle age. I also thought they brought a bit more feeling and emotion into the song that wasn't there in the original studio version. Plant's vocals seemed more emotional and the overall instrumental sound seemed to have more layers. To be honest, we are spoilt now. I go on you tube and find numerous versions of almost any song that I like. Back in the late 1960s and into the 1970s when Led Zeppelin were in their prime you didn't even know what they looked like unless you bought one of their LPs that had pictures of them on the sleeve. Just shows what a great band they were. To have the success that they did with virtually no publicity. All word of mouth. At the end of the day (Dazed and Confused?) musical taste is very personal and there isn't really a right or a wrong. Sometimes what we like is triggered by association to events in our lives and sometimes it is for other reasons that we just can't explain. (that's a good song as well, but not by Zeppelin😊).
