There were only 20,000 seats available and when they went on sale, all the servers crashed with over 20 million request for tickets in the first 2 hours. Also they were all in their 60's. Kashmir was first released in 1975. Singer is Robert Plant, guitar player is Jimmy Page, keyboards and bass, John Paul Jones, drummer, Jason Bottom, son of original drummer, John Bottom. When they were rehearsing they told the crew, NO AUTO TUNE OR OTHER ENHANCEMENTS, they wanted to do it just like they did in 1975. Voted best rock band of the 60's-70's & 80's. Then came back in 2007 and did this in their 60's and killed it with NO AUTO TUNE OR OTHER ENHANCEMENTS today singers use.

This was a one night only Led Zeppelin reunion concert in 2007 from the O2 Arena in London. There was a worldwide lottery for tickets that had over 20 million requests for 20,000 seats. John Bonham's son Jason on drums. They poured their hearts out on the stage that night and gave the world a performance to remember which rivaled any of their concerts from the 70's. You should really take the time to watch the entire show. Also you should check out their 1973 performance from MSG in the concert film The Song Remains the Same. I saw them in 1977 at MSG then followed Jimmy Page through the years seeing him play live 27 times. He is THE best guitarist to see live....period.

This concert is the last full Led Zeppelin performance of their career filmed in December of 2007. Yes, the Zep boys wrote the riff to Kashmir, Diddy sampled it, hopefully with permission. Zep released the original Kashmir in 1974 and was on their 'Physical Graffiti' album. It is a SPECTACULAR last performance by the greatest rock band ever!

The drummer here is the original drummer, John Bonham “Bonzo”’s son, Jason. The group disbanded in 1980 after Bonzo”s death. No way to continue. You can’t just plug another drummer into a group when he was the best rock drummer ever. I understand why you’ve chosen this performance of Kashmir, but I would have preferred one from the complete group when they were performing together, such as the 1979 Knebworth performance. The drumming in the Knebworth performance is so good.

This was 2007, I was there. I`d been a Led Zep fan for 30 years at this point, I never thought I`d get the chance. They were incredible. The drummer on this is Jason Bonham, the son of legendary zep drummer John Bonham. The gig was a tribute to Ahmet Ertegun, president of Atlantic records, the label that sign Zeppelin. They eventually went on to have their own label Swansong.

This was in 2007; released as a concert film & album in 2012. Led Zeppelin only reunited and performed 4 times after the group disbanded in 1980. At Live Aid in 1985; a party for Atlantic Records in 1989; their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction in 1995; the Celebration Day concert in 2007. Jason Bonham sat in on drums for the latter 3 performances. Jimmy Page & Robert Plant teamed up for a pair of albums, a tour, and an MTV Unplugged performance DVD in the late 1990's. They played some Zeppelin songs but did not bill it as a group reunion.

Robert's original high voice range was pretty much gone by the time they recorded Graffiti. He just had a surgery done for his throat/vocal chords in the fall of '73 and he could barely speak at all for weeks after that while recuperating. His smoking and cocaine addiction didn't help neither. The studio versions of Custard Pie, Sick Again, The Wanton song and of course Trampled Underfoot, In the Light and Kashmir were basically Robert at his most raspiest everytime he tried to hit a high note.

So by the time the band played Copenhagen and Knebworth in the summer of '79 and also played they're last series of shows with the late John Bonham, his voice had fully recovered but not like it was originally before from 1968-72.

The drummer is Jason Bonham the son of the original drummer John "Bonzo" Bonham. Plus what's even cooler is the drum kit is John's kit. They broke up because of Bonzo's death. Fun little fact Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen offered anyone who got tickets through the lottery I million dollars for their tickets. If you want to see a great cover of a Led Zeppelin song check out Heart's cover of Stairway to Heaven from the Kennedy Center Honors show. Robert Plant says it's the greatest cover of Stairway to Heaven he's ever heard.

The list of celebrities and musicians who attended was pure a-list and goes on for miles. This concert holds the record for most wanted tickets. Over 20 million people applied, for only 16,000 tickets! People came from all over the World. In terms of sales and influence, only one band is bigger than Zeppelin... The Beatles. In terms of rock, they are unsurpassed and probably always will be. They are the rock gods and every other rock band bows down before them! :)

Tryin' to find what I feeeeeeeeeeeellll! Ba-Dap! DA-DADA! DA-DADA! DA-DAD! Then Robert lets it roll for an extra bar to establish the music before coming back in with the vocals. All morning I have been listening to the build up to this particular crescendo and repeatedly being brought to tears. Jimmy has this perfect sound on his guitar and the production is so crisp. After having listened to a couple of live versions of Kashmir I think this is my favorite. They are sharp and sober, not a trace of sloppiness and they are playing with such passion its palpable. Tremendous artistic performance.

Two of them performed this with an Egyptian orchestra! Pretty cool and flowin' If this song is from Phys Graffiti, then that takes it back to '76 See them do 'In My Time of Dying'!!!!!!!!!! which Zep got from a blues gospel song so everything comes full circle. Everybody makes it their own. Robert Plant is still performing in all his great tribal influenced music since the 90s. React to Beth Hart doing 'Am I the One' too. She's a Janis Joplin kinda Zeppelin sound

This song came out in the 1970s, their drummer John Bonham passed away in the early 80s. The drummer you see in this video is Jason Bonham, drummer John Bonham's son. The video is from 2008 ,I believe? I wanted to go to see them when they came to Indianapolis. Tickets price was pretty pricey.....I would definitely have paid it if my finances had been better. But even at $400 and $600 a ticket every concert sold out ,I'm told. The band ,The Who played front for them. Singer Robert Plant still tours with his own band for his solo work. Which is also fire!

This is post by Walters wife, just be clear. Yes, this was a one-off concert to honor of the Head of Atlantic Records, which was their label for years. As others have said, the three tensing members had a couple of one-off concerts in the eighties...which didn’t work out crewel. Plane and Page had a highly successful tour in 1995 which you can see on the official DVD called No Quarter, or watch the dozens of bootleg versions. Outstanding music. After. Bongo died (Roberts best friend by the way) Plant went on to a highly successful 40 year career, forming his own bands. He still tours now, even in his seventies Jimmy Page also had his own band called The Firm but they folded after two albums. Page has concentrated more on production, remastering the entire Zeppelin catalogue Jason Bonham channeled his fathers spirit that night in 2007 and you can see the warmth and smiles that the other three give to the son of their dead friend It was John Bonham who helped Robert get through the horrific grief of losing his beautiful young son in 1977 at the age of six, which almost crushed Robert. And then three years later Robert loses John so much tragedy. It was Robert who then had to go tell a young Jadon that his dad was dead. Lots of history with those guys. Best rock band ever.

Then watch The Song Remains The Same,a full length concert that we had to sneak out to the midnight movie to watch it. ENJOY!! You won't regret it! It'll be the closest thing you can do to be as close as you can to being at a Led Zeppelin concert and get to know them and what they're all about. Happy viewing! Lynda

This song is from Led Zeppelin's album called Physical Grafitti that came out in 1975. The drummer on this video is the son of the original drummer John Bonham of this band who died in 1980. The rest of the guys on this video the singer (Robert Plant), the guitarist (Jimmy Page) and the piano/synth player (John Paul Jones) are the original band members who wrote this song.

I thought i'd see a comment below in this regard, but i didn't, so i thought i'd just clarify. The drummer in this video is Jason, the son of John Bonham, the original Led Zeppelin drummer. Both are excellent, but John is widely considered to be perhaps the best rock n roll drummer ever.

Im pretty sure, zeppelin's guitarist Jimmy Page played on Diddy's song! So Diddy had Led Zeppelin's blessing or he probably payed dearly for it. Because Everyone.....including Disney pays to use any of Zepplins music!Kashmir came out in late 60s or early 70s.
