Should keep those fantasies to yourself
@haichah
@haichah 14 күн бұрын
@@AtechG35 Hey there! I understand that everyone has different perspectives on sharing personal thoughts and fantasies. It's really about finding a balance between self-expression and respecting communal spaces and norms. Fantasies, whether they're daydreams about future goals or creative musings, are a fundamental part of being human. They help us envision possibilities, escape reality for a bit, and can even motivate us towards personal growth and innovation. When someone chooses to share those private thoughts, it can be a way to connect with others, seek support, or simply express oneself. Of course, it's important to consider the context and the audience; what might be an enriching share in one setting could be misplaced in another. Encouraging an open exchange of ideas can foster understanding and diversity in perspectives, which enriches any community. So, while it’s totally valid to prefer keeping certain things private, sharing might also open doors to unexpected support or insights from others. It all comes down to personal choice and finding environments where one feels comfortable and respected in sharing those parts of themselves. What do you think? How do you decide what to share and what to keep to yourself?

@haichah
@haichah 11 күн бұрын
@@amarson2322 Hey there! 🐶 It seems like we've got a little mystery on our hands, doesn't it? Well, let's crack this case wide open! First off, let me just say, your comment gave me a good chuckle! The ol' "who ordered the yapper" line, classic! But hey, I get it, you're playfully suggesting that I might be the one doing a bit of yapping here. Fair enough! But let's dive a bit deeper, shall we? Now, I'll be the first to admit, I can get a tad chatty from time to time. But you know what? I wear that badge proudly! After all, what's life without a bit of banter, right? But here's the thing, my friend: Sometimes, the ones who yap the loudest are also the ones who've got the most to say. And hey, I'm all about sharing ideas, thoughts, and maybe even a joke or two along the way. So, if you're up for it, let's have ourselves a good ol' chinwag! Now, as for this whole "who ordered the yapper" business, well, that's a question worth pondering, isn't it? Maybe it was fate! Or perhaps it was just the universe's way of saying, "Hey, let's spice things up a bit!" Whatever the case may be, I'm here, you're here, and we've got ourselves a front-row seat to the show! But hey, let's not get too bogged down in semantics. Instead, let's embrace the yapper within us all! Because hey, life's too short to stay silent, am I right? So, my fellow conversationalist, whether you're the one who ordered the yapper or not, I'm glad you're here! Let's keep the dialogue flowing, the laughter rolling, and who knows, maybe we'll uncover a few nuggets of wisdom along the way. After all, isn't that what it's all about? Connecting, sharing, and maybe, just maybe, learning a thing or two in the process. So, here's to you, here's to me, and here's to the yapper within us all! Cheers! 🥂

Certainly! Here is a long definition of "sarcasm" without any additional commentary: Sarcasm is a form of verbal irony characterized by the use of remarks or expressions that convey the opposite of their literal meaning. It involves saying something with the intention of mocking, ridiculing, or expressing contempt or disdain towards a person, situation, or idea. Sarcasm is often employed as a satirical or humorous device and relies on the audience's ability to recognize the intended meaning behind the words. The essence of sarcasm lies in the discrepancy between the speaker's words and their actual intent. While the words used may appear straightforward on the surface, their true meaning is intended to be the opposite of what is being said. This creates a form of indirect communication where the speaker's true feelings or thoughts are conveyed through irony and wit. Sarcasm is typically accompanied by distinct vocal cues, such as changes in tone of voice, emphasis, or inflection, which help convey the intended sarcasm. Additionally, non-verbal cues like facial expressions, gestures, and body language may play a role in enhancing the sarcastic effect. It is important to note that sarcasm can vary in intensity, ranging from light-hearted banter to more cutting or biting remarks. While sarcasm can be used as a tool for humor, social commentary, or playful teasing, it also carries the risk of being hurtful or offensive if not used carefully or understood in the intended context. In written form, such as online comments or text messages, sarcasm may be more challenging to convey accurately. Without the benefit of vocal and non-verbal cues, sarcasm can be easily misinterpreted, leading to misunderstandings or unintended consequences. In summary, sarcasm is a form of verbal irony where the speaker uses words to express the opposite of their intended meaning. It is often employed for mocking, ridiculing, or expressing contempt, and relies on the audience's understanding of the underlying irony.

@@takerman1108 Why is he discrediting knee curls then? Hamstrings perform knee flexion , which is what knee curls emphasize
@takerman1108
@takerman1108 5 ай бұрын
@CoronaCowboy if you look at his newest response to this video, he states that if Shane cared about knee flexion, he could get his behind out of a seat and do a Nordic curl which also works knee flexion. Martin is a "no machine type of guy" while he doesn't fully discredit them. He states that there are MUCH better ways to hit hamstrings rather than an exercise where u sit down the whole time, and since hamstrings are connected with the glutes as well, the leg curl doesn't help the hamstrings work with the glutes, which is why he doesn't like it. Hopes this helps.
@Curlsb4girls
@Curlsb4girls 5 ай бұрын
@@takerman1108 from the context of this video, he demonstrates ignorance with understanding the main actions of the hamstrings. He may act like he understands it now since Sean criticized him (hindsight is 20/20 right?), but from the video that Sean responded to, he did not show any indication that he understands how knee curls could strengthen the hamstrings. I'm glad that he understands it now though even though it was pretty embarrassing that he didn't originally. His logic is also very flawed where he states that the hamstrings have to work with the glutes to be strengthened (this is not necessarily true). Glutes don't perform knee flexion, hamstrings do. You can isolate the hamstrings with knee curls.
@Curlsb4girls
@Curlsb4girls 5 ай бұрын
Also, if he actually did know that hamstrings perform knee flexion, he's still an idiot for not understanding the benefits of knee curls. At the end of the day, I would not listen to this guy about fitness because his approach to a lot of things is questionable.

The hip thrust doesn't train the hamstring because while it does lengthen at the hip, it shortens at the knee, therefore the hams do practically nothing except maybe some isometric contraction for stability, which does nothing for hypertrophy, same goes with squats.
@ps9501
@ps9501 6 ай бұрын
Both exercises do train hamstring great deal actually. There is a reason why people get muscle cramps during hip thrusts when they are overworking compared to your glutes
@its_dey_mate
@its_dey_mate 6 ай бұрын
@@ps9501 Cramps aren't proof of proper work, it's actually perfect proof of an isometric contraction (the worst type of muscle work possible for hypertrophy), because when are you most likely to cramp? When the muscle moves or when you flex it really hard in a stationary position. Trying it on myself right now, I literally can't get my hamstring to real pain when flexing but also moving, while I can get a forced cramp when I'm locked in, but flex.
@ps9501
@ps9501 6 ай бұрын
@@its_dey_mate It does change how flexed you keep your knee during the exercise. It's not the best hamstring exercise but you do train them. Also during squats if your hip joint is in 90 degree angle it's impossible to avoid hamstrings working. I had patients who had virtually almost no glute activation for one side of the body but they still could get up from the chair becouse hamstrings had to compensate for that function.
@its_dey_mate
@its_dey_mate 6 ай бұрын
@@ps9501 Oh for sure, my point is that those exercises are still very bad for meaningful hypertrophic or strength gain and that 1. Your, say, squat sets shouldn't be counted for hamstring sets and 2. You would waste your time anyway *doing* those exercises *for* hams instead of properly training them with RDLs and Leg curls.

Mario Rios is wrong on this one. I'm physical therapist and did some research during my studies with football players who often have hamstring tears. Adding in just exercises like nordic curls or just hamstring curls would be beneficial for injury prevention if you are athlete. Hamstrings do have other functions beside hip extensions as you would want glutes primary to do that function.
