I wholeheartedly agree. I do know why they’re are still in business…..At this point in time, with all the reviews and videos out there for people to see how bad they are, it’s honestly getting to a point where it’s the consumers fault. There is SO MUCH content about how bad they are and they are ignoring it. ‘It won’t happen to me’ syndrome. I get people contacting me every day for a quote and let’s say it’s $600 and they go ‘oh wow legacybox is $350’ and then I tell them the situation and to check their reviews and my videos and they still send them their tapes annnnd that’s how they stay in business.

My guess is that they get a lot of money from other people who only know about money

They are getting labor from the county school system. And the county claims it giving the kids life skills. But the program seems more like labor trafficking.

Unfortunately they are a con job company. When you get your tapes back, they will be more than likely have stickers on them blaming your tapes for crappy picture quality and or not transferred at all, it’s ALL BS. Immediately call your credit card company and get your money back.

My adult children gifted me Legacy Box too. I found the reviews by watching youtube. I hope I can get the money back.I was so happy for the gift, so sad that this a scam.

First off file a claim with your credit card company, if you’d like me to redo them, email me info@gotmemories.com if you contact them, they’ll give you the run around and tell you to send them back in, do not give them another chance, the same will happen and run the risk of them losing your tapes and or waiting 3-6 months trying to get them back.

It's one word: PROFIT. LegacyBox only came into existence to take money and spend it on big-ass advertisement campaigns and fancy brochures. You call them, they send you a box, you pack your films and videotapes, they get sent to a big factory in Tennessee, where undertrained, underpaid staff put your tapes and films in poorly-maintained VCRs and reel-to-reel machines. When you do get your videotapes and films back, along with a USB flash drive with your files, or sometimes DVDs, the quality of the job is so sloppy and crummy it's not even usable anymore, and there are stickers on your tapes and films denoting that「there are quality issues that will also appear in the digitized video」or「your cassette is broken so they can't convert it」even though your tapes can play perfectly fine in your VCRs and your films look pristine when you play them back on your reel-to-reel machine. And when you call LegacyBox to complain, you get nowhere. So you call your bank or your credit card provider to get a chargeback request, and most of the time LegacyBox will fight you back and win. The long and short of it is LegacyBox ought to be ashamed of themselves! How dare they pitch that subpar crap to the general public, at $10 per item which is way less than what most local companies charge! Their facilities are complete shambles, the staff are undertrained, the equipment is beat-up, the customer service is useless, and yet they're still in business?! LegacyBox should be shut the heck down!

Absolute greed! More so though why are celebs and advertisers still promoting them!

Unacceptable. They want 100% of the money and none of the work involved to do as advertised using bs excuses on people’s precious home movies and how many people are taking their word for it and throwing their memories away which are perfectly fine?!!
