Nusrat was to collaborate with Madonna when he died few months earlier in 1997. His music was getting international attention when he died. He has even sung soundtrack of a Hollywood movie in 90's. His must be among the greatest singers the world has ever seen.

People may find this hard to believe, but the other day I was driving to work when a car pulled up next to me, windows down stereo blasting. The guy was bopping his head up and down and looking at me. I immediately bopped my head a few times, with a grin of approval on my face. There was an instant connection and the man gave me a thumbs up and drove off. What was so amazing about this encounter you ask. The man was of middle eastern appearance. This song was playing on the stereo! 😎😎😎😎

I.Cannot. Believe. This 😮 Listening to the original (!) I just cannot fathom the amount of blood, sweat and tears that must have gone into this. I mean, c'mon: it's not only rearranged, and put some chords over it, and call it a day. No - ma man Andre turned it into a MAIDEN-like song, so meticiously performed ... internet, I stand in awe! The day we make contact with aliens, Andre would be my ambassador for humanity of choice. He is a perfect example to what we can live up to! I tip my hat sir!

Why are the breakdowns in the middle of your remixes always so epic? Those bass and guitar solos were unbelievable. Also - the melody of the chorus is absolutely infectious. Gonna be stuck in my head for days. Love this track so much

I think people in US are the only ones that get offended by anything for the most part. Especially since everything became about politics. He sings about a spiritual love between god and man and man and woman too "Raised my eyes and love yawned And I sold my heart under the crescent moon" This is the first line that he repeats. You can google translations for this it is very well documented.

Holy monkey!!! I'm not sure which one I'm more impressed by. The exquisitely tasteful guitar & bass licks, or the fact that this song drifts in tempo like 30bpm (based solely on the enthusiasm of the vocalists) and you manage to hold it all together. I've been a musician all my life (though arguably not that successfully) and I recognize how difficult from a compositional standpoint that had to be. You blow me away with your mad skills, dude. Keep it up because it's garnering huge attention & much respect from us wannabees.

The tempo drifts are actually a lot easier to adjust to when that's how you've been raised your entire life. I've been playing tabla quite literally my entire life, and tempo and pace changes are a central part of desi music.

Love from India , for me the best things are 1. I can watch original videos of NFAK sir and 2. The compositions are as good as Original rendition . Not taking anything away from your opinion but music is universal. Notes creates musics and notes is what they learns all their lives, the musicians. A musicians with creativity, talents and experience can make a song out of thin air. And Andre got all of them, interpreting them in his own way beautifully
