I’ve got an idea for you for future how to videos like this. When you’re editing it, during the part where you’re talking about torquing the bolts down, maybe put on the screen the appropriate torque specs for it! That would just add another layer of helpfulness which would get more views on your videos.

Great videos. Just got a 16 GSF so watching all your videos. They're very well done and informative. I do all my own work as well and looking forward to doing a couple mods. Use to have a boosted IS300. Thanks man. Maybe we'll run into each other at a meet one day. I'm in Ellicott City MD.

Dude, just wanted to let you know how much this video helped me. I own a LS 460 F Sport AWD, and could not figure out how to replace my brake pads, I couldn’t find a video on my specific vehicle and lost hope. I didn’t realize that the GS F and the 460 F Sport had basically the same brake system and calipers. Appreciate the video, you saved me a bunch of money. I’d like to buy you a couple of beers if possible. Drop the cash app, I got you. Thanks again!

Sam exact situation when I got the RCF with 7500 miles. Squeaky breaks so they changed them to that compound free of charge. I’m bring the car in for it’s second service at 16,000 miles and they’re telling me I need new pads ( they’re at 6/32nd, I think that’s 50%) but the pads are only 1 to 2mm from “ damaging” the break pad sensor. In addition they said you must change the rotors anytime your change the pads... what do you think? Skip the dealership or just go with it?

Just buy Duralast Golds or GT. Cheap, effective. Does not fade from canyon or Autox. Initial bite is decreased however braking consistency is perfect. Make sure its bed in properly. That's it. Also grinding the rotor with whatever pad you used is well worse than just leaving the old material on. Discs can take a beating but un even material build up is a bigger issue. Use brake dust removal sprays like Iron x or Sonax full effect and that will clean off the surface.
@BulletsGarage
@BulletsGarage 5 жыл бұрын
Yea I will not grind down the surface again. My next pad will be a endless mx72
@d1sturb3d119
@d1sturb3d119 5 жыл бұрын
@@BulletsGarage I haven't tried those as yet. I go through a lot of pads so those autozone pads hold up surprisingly well. Really thought they'd be shit but it worked out. Plus, and I don't know how this affects their business model but it has a lifetime warranty and that includes wear. On my TL I bought one set in 2010 and never bought pads again until I sold it in 2018. This year is gonna be testing new parts including pads. I'm curious to see how their more aggressive stuff holds up.
