I create an assemblage with vintage map. a moving gear and super power explained.

Details:
1.create a wall art piece of your choice on a sturdy substrate (2 or 3 dimensional)
2.incl.a mosaic design (pattern and or image/ 2 or 3 dimensional )
3.work with several colors and textures
4.send in 2nd photo with close up of your mosaic section

Dear Ina, your project has become fantastic again. The gears and small details, the bottles, everything fits together wonderfully and comes together to form a great overall picture. Oh Ina, love LOVE this piece, just my style of mixed media/assemblage with all the extra bits that I love to add to my pieces, esp. wee apothocary bottles. Everything about this is just fabulous, and I really like your special buttons! I am certain that if my life had a 'rewind button' it would be broken by now from over use!

Thank you so much ChrisAnn. Glad that this project is up your alley. I agree that small glass bottles hold a fascination and seem to elevate assemblages in general. A 'rewind' would definitely be handy and I too would have worn mine out by now. LOL (check email) : )

I love your superpower Ina! How great it would be to rewind or fast forward (with these cool buttons) in your own life. I'm already thinking what I would do... Your piece as a whole looks beautiful, and you're famous for all the clever details. That turning gear with all symbols exactly in the right place is stunning, what a good idea. I love the little bottles with tools for traveling for- or backwards. It's a mysterious and exiting piece, and you've really done justice to the 4 cores. Wonderful Ina, thank you! PS. I think it's great you design your own tattoos. I have the feeling some more will follow...😃

Oh yes..I would have worn out my rewind button by now. Ha Thanks so very much Mieke. I am always pleased to read your great feedbacks. This assemblage started out with finding that big gear and everything else kinda followed. I am glad I finished it before we got sick, as the younger folks are back to normal, but hubby and I are still with little energy and my creative mojo has gotten lost. LOL But we are going camping tomorrow to let nature help us out. : ) I do love tattoos, but not sure if I get more. : ) .

I hate to hear your household was struck with Covid, but glad to hear you're all recovering. After that, there's so much in this video to love. First, I think it's fantastic that that gear moves. I'm not sure what kind of mechanism you used to make sure it does, but it's very cool. And, even cooler, are the little peeks through the gear at all the symbolic charms you have there. I also like the way you used the embossing powder. I have tons of that stuff that I was "gifted" and never thought to use. You've got me re-thinking it. I really love this piece! As for the challenge this coming month, you've made it pretty simple, but that leaves so much open, that it's almost hard! LOL. Thank you for the inspiration.

Thanks so very much Hope. The drawer knob came with a screw and turns just by rotating through the hole I drilled ,a few washers helped to get the distance I needed. I love movable parts, but all of mine are very simple contraptions. I too have mediums I hardly ever use ,but embossing is fun now and then as it is vibrant and also creates textures. I think the last challenge was a bit tricky for some, so yes, I tried to keep August simpler ,let's see how that turns out. Ha Thanks so much Hope for your great feedback and sharing your art. : )

So many of such cute small bottles I used to throw away. And the charms you use. Amazing. Sometimes I don't have such small things to add to my projects. And one available online are so damn expensive doesn't make sense to put so much money on them. I guess you're not only a good artist but a good collector of tiny objects too. Loved the final piece. reminded me of the time machine u made once. And yes amazing tattoos. I hope you do a journal on tattoo designs. An antique style journal like one of those Leonardo da Vinci journals.

Thank you so much for your great feedback. I like to use charms and little jewelry bits as they have interesting images and textures ,perfect for relatively small assemblage work. Sometimes I wished I could work bigger, but I don't have the workshop for that. Most of my charms etc. were given to me, but I have also added to it ,from cheap offers on ebay etc. So happy that you enjoy this piece, the time machine I made last year, lives with a dear friend. I love vintage journals, let's see if one is in my future. LOL Have a great week.

i love this piece! tiny bottles are a favorite of mine ....i happen to be doing a mosaic table tiop right now! i should keep all the bits and supplies out and see if i can squeeze in a small wall hanging of some sort... i will put my thinking cap on and see what i can come up with LOL thanks for the inspiration.

Wonderful art piece you created! I love how the gear moves to reveal your symbols. I didn't submit a piece for last month's challenge because I've lost my artistic mojo. It's happened before so I'm not worried about it. But I can't guarantee I'll participate for this month's challenge. I'm happy your family has recovered from Covid... no fun indeed. I hope you have a fast and full recovery.

Will do Brian, I am planning to put a several new things in my shop real soon. Glad you like it. I started using these waxes maybe just over a year ago, and love their effect. As they are permanent, they are a great finishing touch. : )
