He is Tony Levin. He played bass for King Crimson and Peter Gabriel among many others. The instrument he's playing is the Chapman Stick en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chapman_Stick

Liquid Tension is not Dream Theater. Formed in 1997 and Jordan Rudess was not a member of DT that time . In 1999 finally Jordan Rudess became DT member. And I told you that the bassist is Tony Levin from legendary prog rock band King Crimson. Nice reaction man 🤟.

This is Liquid Tension experiment. A few Dream Theatre guys Put this band together urs ago.

Nice reaction :) If u like prog-metal u must check out "Babymetal tales of destinies pro shot live" :) its really only one prog-metal song from them... But they can do it if they want :) Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater spoke very highly of this song. Just imagine this kind of music, only more progressive (yes, more), with vocals, dancing, and heavier sound :) Personally, I'm not a big fan of prog metal, but Babymetal has a special talent for making things interesting. I don't even know how they do it. :) So now I'm showing interest in this style too :)

Take the singer out of Dream Theater and replace Myung with Tony Levin, the greatest bass player of all time. He’s played with Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, Yes, John Lennon, Paul Simon and a million others.

Another band where Mike Portnoy plays the drums is the great band Transatlantic. Look at their album Kaleidoscope, or the album The absolute universe.
