In this video, Flo and I are traveling across Ngawa Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, all from the northern most point of Sichuan Province to Central Sichuan. We first see the stunning meanders of Yellow River, are then crossing the Tibetan Plateau, passing by Waqietalin Monastery to the edge of the ancient Tibetan Empire, called Songpan County.
This whole region is especially interesting because its a meltpot of Tibetans, Hui Muslims and Han Chinese. Within one town you can find any of those cultures including food, religous sites and markets.
In the end of the video we have reached Huanglong Scenic Area, a beautiful natural heritage site.
Join us on this adventure in Sichuan Province :)

Thats tibet for you not China. There history might interact with each other but they are different as China is dominantly in eastern side where you will find around 90% of population . Tibet has its own identity and culture and where Buddhism is dominant

I read 2 stupid people give 2 stupid comments. 1st, Yellow River is totally 💯 belongs to China since ancient time till now. And it'll be forever. 2nd, China's Tibet is an integral, inseparable & inalienable part of China before, now & forever. Absolutely 💯 stupid people!

China has over 200 cities with 1M+ inhabitants. Yet there are wide open vast open spaces. Beautiful sceneries. When I look at the "flag tents" there seems to be different levels of maturation. Some "tents' are more sparse while some are more full. A beautiful aerial view of the tents. Amazingly large mushrooms. Can I assume the nutrients that came from the richest the Yellow River can offer?

The Yellow River, the original name in Tibetan is Peacock River(རྨ་ཆུ། Machu), because the Yellow River in Tibetan areas is clear most of the time, and it is only a yellow river during the rainy season. It is always a yellow river in the middle and lower reaches, so the name is different.

That's what the real traveling should be! I always feel boring when we travel from one big city to another because the big city are just so alike and the activities you can do here seemed just shopping. The real traveling can bring us into another different culture and daily living ,and through such journey we can get more feelings about the real world.

You did the exact same route as I did in 2016. I thought Huanglong was busy when I visited, but compared to the queue you showed it wasn't too bad. I almost got in a fight because one guy thought I was taking to long taking pictures at the top basin, thought as a foreigner I was an easy victim and started pushing me. When I told him off in not so nice Chinese, he wanted to start a fistfight but was stopped by some bystanders. At least I learned that the words (他妈的)I used were maybe a bit stronger than I previously thought 😂.

On May 12, 2008, an earthquake with a magnitude of 8.0 just occurred in the Songpan area, very close to Wenchuan , the earthquake center. I was there! On May 11, I took a bus from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou. On the dangerous winding mountain road, passed through Songpan and arrived at Jiuzhaigou in the middle of the night. There was a big earthquake next day and I was trapped in Jiuzhai Gou valley for a week! I found out from your videos that Songpan is very new, with all the buildings, roads and planned town center, but still very crowded…. The people there are so strong, rebuilding their homes in the same seismically active area! It's a very beautiful area, but it's also a very, very dangerous place. You let me revisit this area thru your camera, thank you!

Most likely the carriers will be replaced by drones in the near future. It's more efficient and cost effective.
