I agree that it sounds dumb but they need to be able to write in their report that the victim explicitly said that he was in pain and fear of his life so they can charge him to the fullest

As an officer, he has to hear, for himself, the victim express those feelings. It’s part of the report. Especially if the victim is going to press charges.

Part of the elements of the crime off agg assault is was he in fear for his life and did he feel pain. Without those it's not a crime or it's a lesser charge.

The question if he was in fear of his life is a standard question to justify the state statute for that criminal charge. The question about if he felt pain was not for the state Statute itself but standard to determine if emergency treatment is needed by ambulance or the hospital (or both) based on the victims statement.

If the suspect’s actions doesn’t cause the victim pain, then the element of that crime wouldn’t be fulfilled; therefore, there wouldn’t be a crime. I

I know they promote this show as “live” but a lot of times it isn’t. More people probably say this than you think it just isn’t aired bc that’s a waste for a&e to include that in their scenes. They just want to show the actual police content, not people arguing about being filmed, since it gets old pretty fast.

I question the homeowners analytical abilities. Meets a homeless man, offers homeless man place to stay in exchange for rent. If the homeless man could pay rent in a routine fashion he wouldnt be homeless in the first place. Just another case of a good deed not going unpunished
