I work for Amazon doing deliveries right now. I run my own lawn care business on the side (3 years now) and it’s only 6 months during the season so I’ve been trying to think what else I can do. This seems very intriguing…. I’m looking to put growth into my life instead of working for someone else. I think I found the answer. Thank you.

I do love just by putting in the key blank you knew the key bitting for that lock. You can tell you been doing this awhile just to eyeball that. Great job.

When I get a new monitor with smelloview support, I will get the full out of those vacant rekey videos. This one didn't look so bad, but vacant places always have that magic smell them locksporters miss out on, when sitting at home opening locks in the vise

Just a question: is there a reason you didn't just replace the tail piece? Was it just a temp thing so the owner, (bank or who ever), could get in and then change out the locks later? Or did he not want to spend the $$ for something like that? Thanks.
@selock7 жыл бұрын
Charlie Blum yep $$ only replace when totally broken per every house for this company
@selock7 жыл бұрын
Charlie Blum also after repairing the cause of the twisted tailpiece (shifted foundation causing strike misalignment, its very common with our soil) the repaired locks will work fine anyway. Until it shifts majorly again that is

Hey sir just curious do you got a .003 pinning kit. Or .005? And why do you pick the one you do? Thanks for any help

Front door deadbolt picked clockwise and then a spinner? Are deadbolts tough to pick in their opposite unlock direction?

Sure would be nice to know what you were doing? Spray type, pick type, bump keys?

Hello I'm starting a locksmith business in New Mexico. I was wondering if you would let me know about what you charge companies to do a job like this one. and how much it differs from a rekey job for an individual. thank you for the info.

Thanks for the ride along. Sorry I got motion sickness in the van. It's just a small puddle. I know it looks like oatmeal. But it's not. Actually I don't really know what it is. Ding dangit.

Sorry if I missed it but did you repin the locks or use a premade key to match original pinning?

Lately, I have developed the idea of becoming a modern car locksmith- well, you probably realized that I am totally lost. Please answer me this question for I am also interested to take your course and need your persoal opinion. Erli S. Bittencourt

Why don't you use an E-pick or bump key. Would be a lot faster. A Sheriff would never wait that long during an eviction.

Defiant locks are total garbage & banks are some of the cheapest customers around... you ever run into grade 1 hardware down in Jackson MS??
@selock6 жыл бұрын
C Riley mostly only on older commercial buildings (like pre 80’s) (not counting like Mortise Locks on Business Doors) We have a lot of homes built in the 50-60s that did use Schlage D series which is grade 1 knobs but those are typically in the older wealthy parts o town :)

What if you want a Master key to work all locks in a building and then you have "A" key to work every lock in the building except the Master Lock. Then you need a "B" key to work every lock in the building except "A" and Master locks and finally a "C" key to work only "C" locks? How the heck do you pin this?! Thanks!

# -- keyblank -- pinning -- key cuts AAX (Sc4 xxx3^2^2^2 3^2^2^2 x) xxx77x ABX (Sc4 xxx3^2^4 3^2^4 x) xxx33x ACX (Sc4 xxx5^4 5^4 x) xxx99x then A (Sc4 xxx55x will work all of them.. not the correct way to write it but we don't really have graph paper here to write out a constant progression system. you could also do something with multilock's 3in1 system, or schlage's construction balls -- then again maybe I misread your intentions..
