I had intended to play the journey in the background but it had me riveted. Thanks. Gives an insight into the engineering to build the line and the maintenance to keep it operating. Wonderful scenery too. Looking forward to the next stage to Arthur's Pass.

love the videos, I love watching the NZ road videos as I can rewatch some of the roads that we travelled when we were over there, and am hoping to finish driving when we can get back, but what I really love about your videos is the off road places you drive, places I would never take a hire car over, so this way I get to see so much more of NZ then I would ever have seen, and in this boarder closure I can at lest get to drive the countryside even if it is just on the big 60in screen when we bump them over and sit down and get lost in the passenger seat looking out of the windscreen and hoping you continue the rail trip up to Greymouth through Arthurs Pass, happy Aussie.

What a route. Happened to check out Springfield. Heritage steam located here, it seems.Sounds exciting. Pity watching from UK. Well if we continue to get coverage like this, the futures exciting!

At 28.12 and the signal before, the aspect is red - in the U.S. this is a stop signal yet the train proceeds at speed THROUGH the signal. Why ? Were the signals faulty ? Or does the color red mean something else on New Zealand Railways ? Anyone ? Thanks.
