Great vid, brought tears as during the 50's my father supported us making railroad ties with broad axe, one man crosscut and grangpa's 2mule team, he has only one arm, lost his left arm when he was 7 in a hunting accident , still sells firewood, but has powertools now , Thanks.

It is great to see you and your sister working together. This shows the roles that would have to be done on a homestead to live. It is nice to see the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence. Loved the video

Having logged with my father on a small scale and later worked as a chef I could not stop laughing at these videos. Cody, the look of barely controlled panic on your face when faced with a recipe was priceless! Thankyou both for giving me the biggest belly laugh I've had for months Great job in the pizza department tho!

My fav video by you guys so far... In my house, we really try to avoid the "old energy roles". Sometimes Steph works while I stay home with the kids for 6 months or a year. When I lived in a tee pee with my family as a child, us boys had to learn to knit and sew and do our own laundry etc. It helps one grow as a full adult.

I think it was an awesome touch that Fresh P got to wear the hat that her (and your) grandfather used to wear when he used to go into the woods. I'm sure it meant a lot to her to have you give that to her to wear for the day. I have no doubt that your granddad was smiling down watching the two of you this day. Not to mention Jack chopping down that tree on his own.

thanks for doing the vid with your sister. you really put her to work. this was better than cutting a board she actually made the board and did really well . she wore the pants in the family today. literally. this made my day as ive had the flu for a week .and you guys made me smile .thanks now im off to see you cook .

Trading Places was GREAT! I was so surprised how awkward I was at using an hatcket for the first time, surprised how a simple concept required such skill. I make pizza crust by a recipe in a Betty Crocker cookbook. I never thought much about it. Now I'm inspired to try something more up-scale. I bake our pizzas in cast iron skillets (oiled and dusted with cornmeal) for a deep-dish crust.. Thanks...for the inspiration and the laughs.

Very mature. An extremely talented gentleman and a real lady in xlent overall condition, mentally, Spiritually, and physically. I enjoyed how Cody did not try and control her even to the point of allowing his SISTER to fail, or FALL! Lol now but definitely not then. Tough courageous lady, definitely up for the challenge!
