WORKS! There is also an issue where you get the loading circle forever when trying to import that audio file and you just need to: File -> Project Setting -> Audio, click the 'Sample Rate' drop down and switch to "48 kHz"

OH MY GOSH YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER! I spent literally like 10 hours trying to troubleshoot this issue. Upgraded my mac, tried to upgrade my logic version, changed my .mp3 to .wav by (typing it in but that doesn't work!) You have to CONVERT IT! I can finally get back to recording. Mac and Logic are horrible with their updates and they cause everyone a headache and hours of no solutions. Thank you C-Trel!

This works! If it doesn’t work, before you click Start Conversion, change the sampling rate to 44100 Hz in Optional Settings underneath the Start button. Thanks for the video man you’re awesome I had so many idea’s on hold because of this issue.

I ended up having the ring of death after trying this but someone pointed out in one of the comments that you have to go to file - project settings - audio - and change the sample rate to 48. That will sort it. Thumbs up 👍
