They discuss the influence that different communities and circumstances can have on staying connected in later life, including:
- Living in an urban area
- Living in a rural area
- Growing old as an LGBT person
- Becoming a carer
In this video, Jo explains some of the challenges that LGBT people as they grow older, the difficulties of loneliness and how Opening Doors London makes a difference to her life.

I am SO GLAD the grateful younger womyn who hangs out with Jo explained how she thinks of her elders and what she personally gets out of her time spent with older lesbians and other individuals! *Good job,* 'Campaign to End Loneliness' and 'Befriending'! :)

My exact story..im 50..3 dogs and 2 parrots..no friends..mostly disabled in holiday village on Indian ocean..alone in suburb for 11 months a year..houses closed..bliss!!...???
