I subscribed to this channel because my wife has BPD and I’m trying so hard to make things work. Hearing you all speak has given me perspective and I will watch more of your content but is there any advice or wisdom you can offer when it comes to being in a relationship with someone who has BPD? A sort of “things that help” and “things that don’t” perhaps. As all of you I’m sure are aware, it really is a struggle for both me and her. We’ve been married for 7 years, I’m 33 and she’s 30. We have 4 kids together and I feel that the strain in our relationship is affecting them. I know this is like at least a month old video but the few videos I’ve seen of yours have been quite insightful so I really hope to hear back from you.

I have found myself feeling annoyed at people who don't easily get over the hurt I caused them...particularly if it feels minor in comparison to the hurt I know I'm capable of inflicting on someone (trust me, not bragging 😔). It's ironic though, because I often find myself utterly distraught by minor things that other people (likely unintentionally) did that hurt me. I do tend to get over it relatively quickly though if their behavior towards me becomes validating or kind again. Then I feel bad for even being upset at them in the first place. 😵‍💫 This is why I isolate so heavily.
