Suraj crying at a scene he’s probably watched 100 times before is a mood

Juliet "dying" always makes me cry. Also, the white title card still gives me goosebumps all these years later.

There's an interview with Elizabeth Mitchell 'Juliet' where she explains that during the scene where Josh Holloway 'Sawyer' is holding her from falling that he was actually holding onto her full weight even though she was being held by a wire. And the moment her hand slips from his is when Josh no longer could hold her anymore which helped make it more real for them.

That ending. This show man. I can watch Juliet fall a million times and I will tear up every time. Josh Hallaway's performance is on point. Emerson as well. Just excellent TV all around. And the wait. Waiting a year after THAT finale was torture!

The wait for season 6 after seeing this when it first came out was absolute hell. So many theories!

"What about you?" It means that things are bigger than Ben, that there is a greater purpose and Ben plays his part, he is not special or at least any more special than others serving their own purpose.

Cool thing: on the Season 5 DVD, on the disc that has these final episodes, the menu shows a picture of the statue. But after you've watched "The Incident Pt. II", all the menus turn into words floating over a stark white void.

So, if they reset the time, back to LAX: Kate was going to jail, Sawyer just killed a man(the wrong man) Jack lost his wife & father, John lost his father, girlfriend, legs, and didn't even get to go on that tour, Sun was leaving Jin, Charlie's band was broken up and he was heroin addict, Boone & Shannon hated each other, Rose was dying of cancer, Clair was giving away the baby, Juliet was on the island while Ben basically owned her, Desmond would keep pushing that button forever, Hugo thought he was cursed and going crazy... i'm glad they thought this through

I'm just speculating here, but I think after "The Incident," Eloise would have started experiencing problems with her pregnancy due to the release of extreme electro-magnetic energy at the Swan Station. That would have necessitated her leaving the island in order to give birth. In her absence, Widmore likely took up the mantle of leader as a temporary measure until she came back, but she never did (after what happened with Daniel, could you blame her?) So neither Widmore nor Ben were probably meant to be the leader of the island, which would make sense since neither of them really seem like they would meet Jacob's criteria. Also, I think it's safe to assume the hydrogen bomb never actually did go off. Obviously the island doesn't get destroyed, but even if the explosion were smaller since the bomb was stripped down, it probably still would have been large enough to destroy the construction site at the very least. Based on information we were given about the Swan Station in earlier seasons, we know that after "The Incident," the DHARMA Initiative enclosed that whole pocket of electro-magnetic energy in concrete in order to prevent another incident from ever occurring (Sayid even points out how thick the concrete walls are in the Swan Station when he and Jack are examining the hatch in season 2). If the hydrogen bomb had gone off and the construction site was destroyed, the DHARMA Initiative wouldn't have been able to seal up the pocket or enclose that area in massive amounts of concrete as quickly as they would have needed to in order to prevent any further destruction or loss of life. I'm guessing that after Jack, Kate, Sawyer and the others went back to the future, the remaining DHARMA people who were nearby started pouring the concrete almost immediately in a frantic effort to stop what was happening (either that, or everyone got lucky when electro-magnetic energy started pulling concrete mixers toward it and sealed itself up). I'm also going to guess that after they managed to get the situation back under control and they felt safe enough to resume building the Swan Station, the DHARMA Initiative actually recovered the hydrogen bomb and decided to use it for the station's fail-safe system (where else would the DHARMA Initiative get their hands on anything powerful enough to render that energy inert?)

Also Ben was "saved" by The Island as a kid with The Others' (The Hostiles) help, whatever they did to heal him inside the Temple made him lose his innocence according to Richard. He said it when he took Ben from Sawyer & Kate. Maybe, "losing your innocence" means you can't really be the leader and that's why Jacob ignored Ben or treated him badly, hence the "what about you?" question. Just, maybe...

Hell yeah! The schedule said this was coming next week. Appreciate the back to back videos!

I watched season 5 when it premiered in the uk but I'd never seen any of the prior seasons, and yet Juliet's death was so heartbreaking for me. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I ALWAYS think that the fact that the smoke monster make a chain sound , like "tika tika" and drag people into holes inside the island, it's a direct reference here with Juliet , taking down by chains into the hole of the bunker

I read every single spoiler, interview, every scrap of information about the show from the end of season 1 because I was so obsessed, but didn't for the season 5 finale and needed to pop a diazepam after it.

When Suraj mentioned doing a book club for the books on Lost, that sounds great. Especially considering Jacob was reading Flannery O'Connor. One of my faves. Do it.

After this they have a week to wait for the next episode. This aired in May and we didn’t get the season 6 premier until February!!!

When Jack was getting his ass kicked by Sawyer made me realize. people get beat up so much in the show. and it's like. how do these people still have teeth? they got these big pearly white teeth and they're getting their f*cking asses kicked every episode. bashed in faces hit with the butt of rifles punched a zillion times. There's no way they'd have teeth.

Locke was special, his “communion” with The Island went beyond the man in black. Many important people knew this which was why every force related to The Island was tugging John in different directions.

Man in Black was also in Supernatural, he was War. Remember when Micheal killed Libby and Anna Lucia and Ben said it was his choice to kill them, Ben didn't tell him to. Now Ben kills Jacob and that was his choice. Also Ben "We're the good guys." Frank's position on people who have to tell you that they are the good guys.

When Jacob said they're coming. I think he meant Jack and the crew are coming back to the present. Now that everyone knows locke is dead, they will murder fake locke.

I recently read Brandon Sandersons Mistborn series and because I'm following your reactions to I recently realise it has so many similar parallels to lost despite being an entirely different Story. If you have cravings after finishing lost I recommend Audibles Versions. Michel Kramer does great voices for all the characters. It also helps get through them when you are already strapped for time with reactions

Damn. I remember that on my first viewing I never liked Juliet. Then on my second viewing she became my favorite female character of the series. And Locke? He always felt off to me during season 5, and when we found out that was MIB all along I was almost too happy. Still, Locke's end really is depressing when you think about it; the whole "you're special" thing was staryed by Locke himself as he went back in time in episode 3, later reinforced by Sawyer, then by Jack, and all of this because "Christian" - MIB - wanted him to turn the wheel and leave the island. Locke's choice to kill himself was also initiated by MIB. And then he dies alone, strangled to death by Ben, thinking he was a nobody. Now to get to this ending: on my first viewing, I was 100% sure the bomb was always supposed to go off because of the fact that, if they actually changed the future, the whole Jacob storyline would have been completely useless. So I was pretty sure of how things would turn out. Then you can figure out my surprise when season 6 started. Such a journey, and thanks to you I'm reliving it all over again
