I replace the cv joint boots and install an entertainment system. I take the car out on its first long run to Brussels from my home in Luxembourg, but how did I get on and what could I expect from fuel consumption?

Love the numberplate! :) And I'm restoring an 1987 SE at the moment so your videos are seriously welcome. Can't wait to se your dash board vid - mine needs doing too.

@@neildonaldsonlotusexcelresto I keep on putting it off too! It's only 6 or 7 bolts as well (easy apparently)....and yet ......no!

@@mrsipper65 LotusBits say it is a 2 day job to remove the dash. A lot has to come out before the 6 or 7 bolts.

Top work again. One of my rear speakers has randomly stopped working, hopefully the speaker has blown rather than a wiring issue to trace. Something to look at soon. 28 MPG sounds seems good to me, this year I'm making the effort to track fuel and mileage, so far only one result which suggested around 23MPG, although that did include an MOT and cambelt service elsewhere so assume some time idling. Hopefully with warmer weather and some longer journeys I'll get it closer to your effort.

The wiring for speakers should not be too complicated... Just check the resistance of each wire from the speaker to the radio... I bet one of the connectors has come lose. Cheers!
