In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens kzfaq.infoUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

Nice video Dean. Quick question as you are using side scan does the outboard when on the move interfere with the signal at all due to the placement in the video or do you only use it when outboard not in use and up some? I'm just about to put one in myself and don't want to stuff up the placement as i will be using my outboard and on the move for most of my fishing.

hey mate, no the outboard on this boat doesn't interfere but on my little project tinnie it does block it a little on one side. All i do is trim the outboard up until i see that the shadow from the outboard is gone.

Hello friend, I have the 3 in 1 transducer, I saw videos installing with the wire forward and other videos with the wire backwards, in the manual it is wired backwards, is there a difference ???

yes there is a difference, some have the wire forward and some backward, if it don't do it as the manual says you will have your left and rights back to front. drive past some sort of underwater structure and see which side of the boat it is on, if its incorrect go into your settings and choose to flip the lft and right sides

Get the same transducer- the 3in1, that usually comes with the EliteTi2 combo. www.lowrance.com/lowrance/type/sonar-transducers/activeimaging-3-in-1-transducer/

Hello.. I have a Garmin Echo 550C fishfinder. Can i upgrade it using a transducer of some 1000 watt. Wil it fit on it or its better to buy a new fishfinder ? If a new device with side vu and that can scan the 200 meter depth is better which brand and model do you suggest me ?

I would like some advice which frequencies should I use to fish for snapper on a seabed ranging from 50 to 90 meters with the 3 in 1 imaging probe?, high chirp, medium chirp, 83, or 200?

Medium chirp will pick up the structure better but high chirp will give you better target separation. I assume if the snapper are high in the column then run high chirp but if they are on the bottom run your medium

That’s mounted way to close to the prop, it can cause ventilation to your prop. Should be at minimum 15” away from motor

The power plug, if it is blue will still work but it is always best to use new when possible

oh man, dirty old self tappers sticking through your transom just waiting for you to put a fuel tank on the other side so they can slowly dig a hole in it or take the skin off your toes! Use machine screws with nice big fender washers and either a nylock or dome nut on the inside. More area under your washer for sealant, no sharp points, and you lessen the chances of the whole thing getting ripped out of the transom if you hit debris in the water.
