The LS Build continues. Today we install the LS steam port lines using Earl's Steam port adapters and Mr. Gasket push-on hoses and fittings.
The Earl's steam vent adapters are simple and functional, it makes the installation easy by being able to connect all the lines together. The Mr. Gasket push-on hose was difficult to assemble but the quality seems to be worth the value.

Push locks are great! I prefer aeroquip for push lock matched with their hose. Boiling water to dip the hose in makes them a ton easier to get on, no grease or they’ll blow off eventually

Softens up the rubber, makes sense. I'll give that a shot next time.

@@RatchetFinesse yeah the only technique I have seen work is the hot water method. At work we have a coffee machine that gets water near boiling it works just fine. If the fitting doesn’t go on all the way first try dunk it back into the water with the fitting and push it on again, the collar shouldn’t spin once the hose is down all the way.. and shouldn’t need to use a vice or twist the hose on, just some gloves or something because the fitting becomes hot.

I put my push lock hose ends in boiling water for 2 minutes and they go on much easier 😊

Mine is leaking on the passenger side, im not sure if im better off getting the OEM stuff or not.

I haven't fired it up... kinda been lagging, but I'll find out in the next few months.

Did u run the line back into the water pump Or radiator????

Originally I used inline coupler with a NPT port on the top radiator hose. The setup now has the steam port going to a swirl pot / expansion tank that ties into the heater core return line.
