I can honestly say that these videos on the LS platform are VERY useful for me! I'm acquiring a complete (minus the stolen cats and ruined fuel tank) 2004 3500 Express van for a first time swap project. My project vehicle is a 1993 C3500 crew cab long bed single rear wheel truck. The donor vehicle has the LQ4 6.0, 4L80E, and a relatively rare disc brake rear axle. You guys have my full attention and appreciation. Thank you!

Had a customers '99 vette in the shop for overheating. It had been at other shops, where they replaced several parts and it was still overheating. He brought it to us to replace the radiator. Customer is always right, so I tossed in a new radiator. Still overheated. I removed the coolant spyder, and found all four passages clogged. Cleaned out the goo and it was running cool.

Thank you for explaining the purpose and the importance of this seemingly insignificant little part. On my 06 Silverado, the little metal tube failed in the middle at a bend and I could not source one. At the time, I was tempted to just block it off. After thinking it through, I cut out the bad section and simply flared and clamped an appropriate hose; viola, problem solved. However, now it is at the point of the remaining metal tubing is beginning to fail. I have found the replacement on Amazon that seems to fit.

Thanks for the quick and simple explanation. Swapping an LS into a Land Rover as we speak and that dangling hose was stressing me out... The T is on order now!

I bought several fittings/parts of Earl's plumbing to do a four corner vent system on my LS7 with the MSD Atomic intake. When I get the engine to that point I'll make a video to pass along. It wasn't cheapest route but couldn't Not have them all going. The intake was the biggest hurdle to having all four vents working

They plugged the back, but they also tilted the motor back

The LS is not a reverse cooling system. Water flows into the block at the lower ports, up through the heads, and out through the upper ports. The thermostat is just located on the water pump inlet instead of the wp outlet.
