Man this is great did it to my LS pump temperature now running in the 170s 👍 thanks for the video and hopefully you got all the shellac clean out.

the problem your having is you need to add an expansion tank to the system on the heater hose side the one closest to the big water inlet side I think it's a 3/4 inlet and that's where you run your steam pipe too and your overflow as well just like on stock setup

Wrong 🤦♂️ most LS swaps don’t have an expansion tank and they work fine
@SHSPVR3 ай бұрын
@@tylerseabook9423 It could be because how they have it setup that allowed the air to escape from the radiator and fill the block unlike a traditional Chevy which full from the bottom hose up to the thermostat by adding the expansion tank you get around this problem on other side of the thermostat it filling the block up first and then it works it way up to the top the hose and backwards filled Then you can finish talking it off from the radiator itself

Can u still have the heater lines hooked up doing this or no? I have a gen 4 5.3 in a 96 blazer stock style radiator but its a 3core im having circulation issues at idle stays cold when driving
@slaterrockshop456424 күн бұрын
No you can't. I bypassed the heater core. If you are only having trouble at idle I would suspect it could be a cooling fan issue. Is it electric or mechanical fan?

It's still working great on my ranger. Definitely worth doing if you are having cooling issues

@montecarlo6.0turbo I would see if the part store has something bigger. It worked for me but there could tolerance difference in water pumps

How did you bleed it out

Looping the lines still work?
@slaterrockshop45648 ай бұрын
I've looped them before without issue but for some reason it was letting too much hot water return to the engine. I ended up blocking both ports off and solved my overheating issue
@juanrocha65486 ай бұрын
Where do you have your steam port plug into now ? Since you deleted the loop?
@slaterrockshop45646 ай бұрын
I ran the steam port back to the radiator. My radiator has a 5/8 heater hose return port. I used reducers to neck down the 5/8 to 1/4 for steam port
@slaterrockshop45646 ай бұрын
Also, if your rad doesn't have another port you can also buy an adapter off Amazon that goes in upper radiator hose.
