It's a pity everybody is running around with the Type 2A, which makes the Grease Gun a bit irrelevant and hard to use.

When I was in the Army 91-94, we still had these in the armory....no .45ACP to actually shoot them, but got to handle them a few times. Never held a weapon that felt as cheap, even AK's felt MUUCH more substantial. Crappy sheet metal ad nauseum. Looks much nicer in the game than IRL. lol

The grease gun was in fact more accurate on full auto than the Thompson due to the heavy bolt and low rate of fire.

Regarding the Thompson vs. M3 grease gun comment: The grease gun was actually preferred over the thompson by most soldiers due to its better handling. It was lighter, easier to reload, and the slower rpm made it much more controllable in full auto than the thompson was. The thompson may have been better built but the M3 was a much more practical weapon.

I wish they would've added the Springfield 1903 this season

The sound was also likely a balance choice. Removing hit detection AND making it so you can’t hear the shots would have made the M3 far too stealthy.

well it may not able to outperform type 2a or other fast rate of fire smg, but it is fun to use, and that made me keep using it.

If you're like me sitting here wondering if it's a proper m3 or an m3a1, 2 minutes in it the full reload shows it's a proper early m3 with the crank charging handle. Absolutely beautiful

The new ttk update made it so that now pretty much most guns are limited and most of them are pointless to use. Because there is a few guns in each class that outplay the rest. This gun is pretty much like a fully auto m1a1 carbine. The m1a1 carbine is so bad now, along with all of the semi auto carbines, except for maybe like the agm-42 which is usable, but for example with the turner smle or mas it takes literally 5 bullets to kill at far distance which is crazy. The medic class now is only limited to a few guns that outclass the rest. Dice really needs to look at the assault class and the rest of the guns, I’m fine with the ttk update but at least do a good job on balancing the guns, which they failed to do miserably

Anyone who knows suppressors knows they DON'T silence a weapon anyway. This is probably one of the more accurate portrayals actually. And let's face it... it's cosmetic anyway. Without audio spotting or radar (like BF3 and 4) suppressors are pointless anyway.

7:04 Visibility is good in the game you have to rely on your senses to spot the ennemies try to listen to the environment and visibility won't be an issue idk how many time I will have to repeat it

3 shot kill weapons don't need to all be low fire rate. In BF4 you have the Bulldog. An assualt rifle that has 3 shot capability. However it also has an above average fire rate. The balance was it had a tiny clip and very hard to master recoil (certainly on console). Was a skill weapon. Aren't too many of those in this game.

Grease Gun v. Thompson was entirely due to cost and ease of manufacture. The Thompson was expensive and took a long time to make, so the M3 Grease Gun was a project by the War Department (Army) looking into a cheaper alternative made with stamped-press parts like the German MP40. The problem was the early M3 was crap. It fell apart all the time, and it's first combat trials ended with the weapons literally shaking themselves apart when firing. Troops hated the weapon and clung to the Thompson through the end of the war. The War Department did fix the worst of the problems in 1944 with the M3A1 version, which would be used through Korea and even to an extent in Vietnam, but for WW2 it's reputation as terrible junk was firmly held amongst the troops. Interestingly, the Navy never adopted the Grease Gun. After the Navy Department's own Thompson replacement (the M50 Reising) failed, the Army offered the Grease Gun to the Navy, but the Marines looked at the long list of failures at the time and refused the Grease Gun. When the Navy threatened to adopt the Grease Gun anyway, the Marines decided to phase out submachine guns all together, issuing the M1 Carbine in their place. Hence the only Americans who ever used the Grease Gun were soldiers, not Marines.

Why is it when DiCE finds a perfect progression, unlock system like in bad company 2, they go and change everything around and try and re-invent their own formula? why don't they just build on what worked in the past? could this be the reason they can never compete with COD toe to toe because they keep re-inventing?

The M3 is a below-average SMG, definitely in the running for worst in the class. Most players will unlock it, try it out a bit, then go back to the Type 2A.

My recommendation would be to play battlefield 4. Battlefield 5 isn't a battlefield game. It's like a load of cod developers have tried to copy a battlefield game and then gone all mental with fake history and women. Battlefield Hardline is a better game. Check it out.

I just can´t have fun with this game no more. There is almost no interaction between infantry and airplanes (you just die for a random bomb everytime and there is no limit of bombers per team), tanks still camp too far for you to be able to combat them, YOU ARE SPOTED, type 2A is the only reliable smg and the whole ttk changes is garbage. Got it uninstalled today
