Anyone else love that you can use whatever optic you want right of the bat? That way you don’t have to grind 150-200 kills just to use a preferred/optimal sight.

You should use the extended magazine for the M1A1. It’s definitely the better choice, because the weapon ins already accurate enough.

The Turner SMLE is V's version of 1's Model 8 Autoloading. Decent damage semi auto with a 360 rpm rate of fire. But now it holds even more ammo. Very good weapon.

I have the selbstlader m1916 speced differently and I use the lens optic with it, 9 times out of 10 I out snipe the snipers and at medium range i out gun most opponents. My favorite weapon so far, it also looks amazing with a good skin setup. The lens optic gives u some more versatility at close range but you have to be very accurate.

I absolutely love the G1-5 it's a beast at all ranges for me and I can consistently get at least a 3.0 kdr

The first assault weapon comes with the specializations you recommended. I prefer 60% movement speed over vertical recoil

I've used DMRs with magnified optics almost exclusively since BF3 and oh boy let me tell you. These semi auto rifles are so OP in BF5 if you have experience with this kinda play style. I think the Turner SMLE is the most OP one but the Selbstlader wins the fun award. Mowing down an entire offensive push in one magazine with its insanely high bullet velocity is just so satisfying.

I'm not that good at this game but I do pretty well with the M1A1. That gun is a beast!

I really like the Selbstlader. I find myself using it more often then not. I like the damage output and it just feels good to me. But I can also understand people feeling that other guns do that same job better.

for me with the first assault gun I used the 3x scope and I used that till the stg and on that, I used a holo scope

I like the aperture sight on the gewehr 43 - the 2x scope is plenty of room without turning into a liability in cqc

After watching one of your best BF1 guns vids I could tell you know what your talking about. Interestingly, i prefer left side for almost all assault weapons, kind of evens the field when meeting SMG heroes in close quarters (im looking at you soumi-man)

Aperture sight on stg44 on Xbox is incredible. Increases the range you can kill at with its zoom and field of view remains unobstructed so you can stay on target.

tbh I use the 1907 in semi auto for ADS gunfights at medium to distant and depending on situation CQC but when I know I'm going to be clearing houses, full auto. It reminds me of how I ran the H&K 51 in BF hardline a few years back.

Your thoughts on the MAS 44? I used it almost exclusively until I realized the STG 44 is excellent for more aggressive play.

Can i suggest that you add a header that shows the name of the weapon you're using? I often forget what gun it is after a little while.

I guess I’m the only one who doesn’t like the M1A1? It feels like a hitmarker machine to me and I feel like I get outgunned more often that I do with the G43, even at close range, and I get dumpstered by a lot of weapons at mid-long range.

The M1 specialization depends on your playstyle. If you play more passive then what LevelCap used is fine but if you're an aggressive player you need the extended mag (16 versus 31 bullets is a huge difference). Like Level said the recoil on this gun is very minimal and easy to control so there's really no penalty for not choosing any of the recoil buffers.

Great video although I think you're a bit too dismissive of the SelbStaldler...... it's honestly a beast. The rate of fire means the recoil is almost non existant at times and the large mag means you can engage with 3-5 targets at a time. I recommend it to anyone.

Hey levelcap I wanted to let you know that with the gehwher 43 and the turner smle when your characters out of ammo if you press the fire button as they're loading in the first stripper clip they'll only put in the first five rounds and I know it might not be that practical but I think it's cool and that you might also

I think the g43 needs a very slight damage buff. I say this because you can land a headshot followed by a bodyshot and not kill the target. It's very irritating. Just up its damage by like 5 points to ensure a 2 shot kill when you land a headshot.

Hey LevelCap! Your videos are awesome and I've actually learned a thing here and there despite being a "veteran" of the series. I jut wanted to ask, why do you not use the 2x scope, is it bad?

is there any difference between the rank 20 rifle and changing the sturmgewer to being semi auto?

For the gewer, the extra bullet, lower recoil and faster reload is the way to go. You never feel incapable at any range and cqb feels decent with the reasonable rate of fire. Speccing it all long range feels pointless to me as the gun, especially after recoil buffer, already feels amazing at long range but I can hip fire snap shoot most opponents capably too while attacking the objective rather than just sitting back like an ad hoc sniper.

I really wish you could rock iron sights in this game other than extreme close combat but with the difficulty seeing enemies at medium range a 3x is a must.

Geweihr 43 and STG are my main 2 assault guns..ill switch to the first assault gun sometimes because it got some good fire rate

I know you didn't but try that selbstlader with quicker aim and down left side and then go right? If it's 2 hit kill in CQC then it's like an RSC with a 20round mag? You killed a guy in two shots?

Sights and scopes should not be attached to your zoom. We should be able to increase or decrease zoom on our weapons. I think the nydar sight would be good at 1.5 or 1.25. The iron sights on some guns would be good at 2

Just got the game delivered today as I really liked the previous battlefields (bf3 was my fav though)...haven’t really gotten a chance to play it yet but so many hate comments about the game make me sad :/

Only complaint is that you have the same gun show up twice, the 1-5. And the fact it was never full auto, It was a desperation weapon meant to arm civilians at the end of the war. Check out forgotton weapons theres a great video about it.

I like short range/med range on every gun except the bolt actions and LMGs, I don’t like the self loading snipers in the recon class.

If you want to play the Assault with an STG44 like your normally play the Assault, go Right, Left, Left, Any when Specing it

Assault in one sentence you get the most versatile and best all-round weapons at any range rivaling any medic in cqc and scout at long range your only downside is no auto-heal to 100 HP....

1:22 8:14 recoil buffer almost makes no difference. Its better to use the other, 60% faster movement during aim that really does make a difference in shooting + taking cover at the same time. The 60% is a huge difference compared to like 5% less vertical recoil.

Is there scope glance for assulat long range weapons scope?

How do you know how many shots it takes to kill? Is that information in the game menus? Can you tell be the damage bar?

The MP18 was a better starting gun in bf1 than the sturmgewehr is in bf5

Pls, help a noob there. Why when you shoot there seems almost no recoil. I usted to play csgo at mid-high rank so I know I have to aim lower but it seems really really Hard for me with the ps4 controller, also hitting targets running is really Hard u_u

I know this is sort of irrelevant but please hear me out. I think the medic class should use shotguns or smgs because to do your job of keeping everyone alive you will be in the thick of battle or in close quarter combat very often which requires these types of weapons.
