Not sure where this data is coming from and definitely skeptical of the accuracy of the claim. I've replaced 2 Made In pans under warranty within a year and am in talks now with customer service on how to recycle the failed replacements. Have always followed the tips in this video (except the vinegar/baking soda trick was new to me). These are the only pans in this price range that I have ever had to had warranty replaced. Still have my ceramic pans that are 4x as old as the Made In pans and still functioning top notch. Begs the question if the video was made because of a known high failure rate?

Yeah, these pans don't last and MadeIn doesn't stand behind them. I did a lot of research before I chose to buy a MadeIn pan and thought I'd made a good choice that would last me a number of years as I'd spent money for a good quality pan. I have had my MadeIn non-stick pan for just over 1 1/2 year now and followed the advice from this video exactly. The teflon is now starting to flake off in the middle but there is not a scratch on it otherwise. I contacted the company and they said that the pans are only expected to last about 2 years. For the price I paid I expected a lot more. I can buy a pan from Walmart, treat it well and make it last 2 years. Very disappointed.

On your cooking with stainless, you say wait until pan is hot, put in oil and when it is warm will spread across pan. In the nonstick you need to put in oil first and I waited it stays in edges of pan. Should it spread across when warm?

Just don’t preheat an empty pan. Preheat with the oil in it because it will be a good barometer for temperature. If you choose to use oil that is. If you don’t…you can preheat just be careful to let it get too hot. Can’t get hotter than 500!
