Oh Maeve sweetheart you are so in love with him and it's so beautiful to watch. Emma really does so much with the smallest little expressions. I adore her acting. When I first started this show I never expected to see a love story unfold in such a beautiful as it has for these two characters. It just feels different than any one I have seen before. I am cautiously optimistic about some major progression in season 3. I think the Maeve/Otis fandom deserve it after all the waiting.

@John Town Its not about deserving. Otis and Ruby would never be a thing, because Otis never felt that connection, that he did with Maeve. The only reason they were together was because of sex, then Otis tried to develop that relationship so it would be more, he tried to make it work, but it didn't work because he couldn't tell his heart what to do, since he was in love with Maeve this whole time. I understand that people want to ship them together after seeing Ruby's reaction after Otis couldn't say I love you back, But I don't think their relationship would be anywhere as real and touching as Maeve and Otis have, Since it would just be One-sided.

We all know ruby was a gem in last season but I still believe this was something really special !! Ruby was bit manipulative but maeve always adore him the way he is. Also, there is this connection and spark which you won't find between Otis and ruby. That connection is absolutely surreal !! Miscommunication, jealousy they are some ingredient maybe for some masterclass outcome. You never know !! Show never fail to surprise us

But Otis would never have been able to fully move on from Maeve if there was never even a slight try. If theres a season 5 then I’d be down for a Ruby and Otis try again, but there’d need to be a time Maeve and Otis give it a go at least. If it ends season 4 then Maeve and Otis will be end goals.

Ngl Sex Education is my favorite Netflix original. It’s rare to see teenagers portrayed by good actors and it’s even rarer to create genuine chemistry on screen. I love this show and all the characters

Probably my favourite TV couple. Their chemistry in S1 and partly S2 was amazing. I wish they had gotten more screen time together in S3. Both amazing actors, but very well written and deep characters. I started this show with somewhat low expectations, but their situation hit me hard.

Maeve hugs Otis at the caravan because she knows she can trust him, she's really grateful for what he did that day, and she loves the flowers. Nobody EVER gave her flowers before. Not quite love yet.... but well on the way. Maeve's "Thanks for today" spoke volumes, and Otis knew it. The pool scene was great, Maeve playful and just a teensy little bit away from starting to love him. By s1e5 we know it's all about love. The way she looks at him in the store when they get the orange juice......the fact that she could spend a lot of time with him after he couldn't make it to Eric's birthday.......and the near kiss on the bridge. S2e4 "There was this moment last term........." Yep, that was THE moment. :-))

I actually never liked ruby and otis from the start looking back how ruby always treats his friends especially Maeve and $l*t sh@mes her a lot. she never accepted him from the start... I actually don't even like their chemistry like even if she wasn't that rude.. they don't fit together so I wasn't surprised that he didn't say he loves her back..

For her it was all an act to protect herself from harm. Season 2 Maeve is the real Maeve I think. In the beginning of the show she didn't trust anyone and I don't blame her.

this is one of the reasons I love and relate to this show so much, maeve doesn’t really make it painfully obvious to the watcher that she’s into otis but we can all tell because of little actions and quirks that we do as well, small smiles, touching, understanding what the other says and means, (smelling of sweaters). It’s not like “OMG YOUR CRUSH THAT YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON IS HERE ACT NATURAL BUT ALSO WHATEVER IM A BADASS I DONT LIKE HIM” like she’s smitten and it’s normal and we all get it completely it doesn’t need to be spoonfed to the viewer like other shows try to do.

I think Emma and Asa’s chemistry is unbeatable indeed. Besides, Ruby doesn’t have a storyline as interesting as Maeve’s... it’s like... she seems a little bit superficial if compared to the rest. And kinda of annoying lol. She is good for entertaining tho... it’s important to have characters like hers in the show. But Maeve and Otis... I mean they are the frickin deal! There is no wayyyy to compare in my opinion. Plus, when Otis recorded that message for her... OmG one of the best moments of the season.

@@lulilagartos959 Man how can you even compare Ruby and Maeve to each other. Try to compare the screentime of Maeve and Ruby. How can you see a storyline when she isn't given any yet. Until now she was the side character who playing at the moment without any of the backstory. As for the chemistry it took like 2 freaking season for writers to make people ship Otis and Maeve and few people still don't ship them. While in case of Otis and Ruby if you can make most of the audience ship these two in the screen time of around 5-6 minutes only, without even having a long ass plot to support the ship. It can only be done by the acting skills and the *CHEMISTRY* between the actors/characters. I don't know what kind of chemistry are you looking for dude.

Otis did everything right tbh. He realised he wasn’t in love with Ruby and she wanted more than he could give, so he told her straight: I’m not in love with you. I could be eventually, but I’m not now. He then offered Ruby a choice, stay together and see where it goes or break up because the feelings weren’t currently mutual. She chose the latter. Otis was mature, responsive, understanding and very quick to act. He didn’t lead her on. He’s come a long way from Season 1.

She was awful to Aimee, she was awful to Maeve, she was awful to Otis even when she was with him, so really, why ship that? Also, after Maeve and Otis’ first kiss, if you don’t ship them, your heart is dead. They are the real deal and they better bring them completely together next season which, in what it respects me, should be the last one.

Even when Aimee tells Maeve to tell she likes Otis already once again Maeve smiles ,that smile like all the other smiles of Maeve when she is with Otis ,once again says to us visually she is in love with Otis ❤️.Even when Otis gifts Maeve the diary just look at Emma’s killer expressions and that smile of love on her face ,so much love ❤️ for Otis.Its both of them loving each other and it’s so divine level love.
